
- How will 30 Rock address the recent death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, who on the NBC comedy had kidnapped Jack’s wife Avery (played by Elizabeth Banks) and forced her to marry him? Executive producer Robert Carlock tells Us Weekly that since they’d already shot several episodes at the time Kim died, the “puzzle” is going to be “trying to figure out how to get [Avery] out of [North Korea] and… continue things.”
- Flashpoint has been renewed for a fifth season – consisting of 13 episodes.
- Simon Cowell has announced plans to return to Britain’s Got Talent as a full-time, judge, following one season away. Joining Cowell at the dais will be Amanda Holden and newcomers Alesha Dixon (BBC’s Dancing With the Stars) and David Walliams (Little Britain). Cowell’s Talent encore is not expected to clash with his US X Factor duties.
- Kim Kardashian will be appearing on Tim Allen’s new show “Last Man Standing” and of course will be playing herself. “Last Man Standing” will premiere on Foxtel later this month.
- Michael B. Jordan, who most recently recurred on Parenthood, and played quarterback Vince Howard on Friday Night Lights, will guest star in an upcoming episode of the long-running medical drama.
- All ad spots during this years Super Bowl have been sold for US$3.5 million for 30 seconds, up from last years US$3 million.
