UPDATED.
On Sunday March 4, will be the first One Day Cricket Final, live form the GABBA. It airs from 2pm in the afternoon, then from 6.30pm in the evening (AEDT).
Monday March 5 remains the same with repeat Big Bang at 7.00 and 7.30pm, a new episode before Alcatraz… yes – at 8pm, followed by Alcatraz at 8.30pm. Person of Interest form 9.30pm. Only one episode thankfully.
Tuesday March 6 will see a break for 2 Broke Girls and Two and a Half Men, as the Second One Day Cricket Final will air that night, LIVE from the Adelaide Oval. It airs from 2pm during the day, continuing from 6.30pm in the evening
To Wednesday March 7, and with Sherlock concluding this week on Wednesday (Feb 29), one can only guess what will play on Nine that night from 8.30pm. Maybe a movie? Details to be advised. The advanced guide for Nine for the week has that timeslot as TBA, even though it is only 8 days away.
Now. On Thursday March 8, is supposedly the Third One Day Cricket Final, also played in Adelaide. According to Nine, the third final will only be played if required, meaning regular programming continues. Earthflight at 7.30pm, CSI at 8.30, and The Footy Show at 9.30 in NSW & QLD. VIC has CSI: Miami at 9.30.
But according to a number of sites that provide cricket fixture information, the third final plays regardless of the outcome of the first two – in which case, will mean the cricket will air on Nine from around 2pm in the afternoon of Thursday March 8, and again from 6.30pm in the evening.
Should the cricket air that night, there is the question of how the NRL Footy Show will fit into the cricket coverage – I imagine they’d air the Footy Show after the cricket, as it would not make sense to flick the cricket over to GEM for the last half hour or so, should the Footy Show play from 9.30pm (AEDT) especially if the overs played at that time will determine the outcome of the series. in QLD, it won’t be an issue. Cricket should be done by 9.30pm AEST.
