The Biggest Loser Scandal: Who will be kicked out?

On the day of the launch of The Biggest Loser Singles it was reported that one of the contestants would be kicked off the show.

This scandal will be addressed TONIGHT on TEN at 7PM!

As reported in January, a male contestant ‘brought booze into the house and got drunk’ which is a breach of show rules. The incident was also tipped to occur near a scheduled elimination, which is happening to be the case.

In Thursday’s episode, the program concluded with footage of a party the contestants threw to celebrate their success in the challenge. Here, some contestants visibly looked intoxicated.

In 2010, the show was put in hot water after one of its contestants was sent to court on child pornography-holding charges. The contestant was eliminated early, and the production team had JUST (if that even) enough time to make a quick yet noticeable edit to disclude him from the show.

This time around, the indident has occurred midway through the competition, and no editing has been possible. As shown in the recent episode, the program is in fact turning this into a talking point.

When spoken to the day before by the source, trainer Michelle Bridges said “Rules are rules and you can’t get drunk in The Biggest Loser house – it’s as simple as that,”

It is not yet known how this expulsion will affect the elimination. Chances are, it will be cancelled.

This story has gathered considerable interest, so with the episode just hours away, the question on everybody’s mind has to be- who will go?

We know a male will go, and judging by promotions, it will be a blue team member- that has pretty much been confirmed!

HAMISH has been suspected due to the event occurring so close to his 24-hr pass leave. He would have had an opportunity then to sneak alcohol in then. Some of you claim that due to him being young and a possible ‘rare’ drinker, he would be more likely to become intoxicated in a party scene.

Opposition? Well, if Hamish isn’t a big party-er, and he isn’t likely to drink alcohol, why would he bring alcohol in? If I am correct, his main objective was to see his mother and bring flowers back for Michelle. Alcohol wasn’t even mentioned on air when he went home.

LUKE is the other suspect, as the only other male to recieve a 24-hr pass. But in his case, alcohol, and his love for it, was heavily mentioned in scenes depicting his return home. Many don’t believe he himself can get intoxicated as we clearly saw him holding his own during his drinking binge back home, but that doesn’t rule out someone else getting dangerously intoxicated due to his involvement in bringing the alcohol in- something that would explain Shannan’s concern.

Opposition? Yeah, he is a drinker, and he is responsible. It is hard to see Luke leaving due to his heavy leadership role.

Alex and Graham have also been suggested. They are both blokey blokes, so it is somewhat likely. But they haven’t had the opportunity like Hamish and Luke have to bring alcohol in, unless they have hid alcohol in their suitcases for six weeks, which is unlikely.

But reading the comments, I think we’re JUST leaning towards Hamish.

Want my final opinion? Hamish is a bit too unlikely to take such a risk. Being a leader, Luke may have felt a bit cocky, and may have thought the benefits to bringing in alcohol to the camp far outweighed the risks. Under the influence of alcohol during his 24-hr pass, this thought may have heightened in significance.

With that in mind, I would tip Luke.

But we will ONLY be sure when the episode goes to air. Leave your final opinions below before the episode airs, and then sit back and enjoy the episode- it’s going to be a big one!

Throng will be providing a full episodic recap of the episode and AS SOON AS WE CAN, we will be posting who will leave, so keep that in mind when visiting us tonight.
