Whitney Houston Passes at age 48 after being named as possible X Factor judge

Whitney Houston, the singer of such hits as ‘I Will Always Love You” from the movie The Bodyguard and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” has been found dead at age 48 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Whitney’s cause of death is unknown, but she has had a very public battle with alcohol and drugs for many years. There is no suggestion that this was the cause of death.

This comes after a rumoured career comeback just yesterday from The Hollywood Reporter as follows.

“Whitney Houston could be staging another career comeback with a coveted seat next to Simon Cowell on The X Factor’s judges panel, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

The pop diva, who performed on the U.K. version of The X Factor in October 2009, is said to have been approached to join the Fox talent series, according to a source close to the show.”
