Speaking at the 2012 ASTRA Conference today, FOXTEL Chief Executive, Richard Freudenstein, said: “I am delighted to announce that FOXTEL will offer our full Olympic Games coverage at no extra charge to every FOXTEL residential sports subscriber.
“We will produce the best coverage of the Olympic Games in our country’s broadcast history. We are making it available across eight High Definition and Standard Definition digital channels, and we are doing all of this at no additional charge for our residential sports customers.

FOXTEL has also confirmed that, for the first time ever, subscribers will be able to watch every single gold medal event live and in full. That’s every gold medal event (all 302 of them) across every sport and every nation.
“We have made a commitment to every sport and discipline to give them their moment, and we invite every Australian to share it, and, with the FOXTEL iQ, choose what they want to watch and when,” Freudenstein said today.
“For the first time, every magic gold medal moment will be brought home to Australia live. We will play 1,100 hours of live competition for the very first time and more than 3,200 hours overall.”
