The excuse Nine usually use to not air Survivor: One World within days of the US like what Seven do with The Amazing Race is to avoid gaps resulting from possible pre-emptions in the US.
Both Survivor and The Amazing Race have aired on CBS in the US EVERY WEEK since their new season premieres in February – no gaps. Only issue there has been is late starts for The Amazing Race in the US on Sunday nights due to late running live sport.
So if Seven can do it for The Amazing Race, why can’t Nine for Survivor?
At time of writing (March 29) there is still no sign of Survivor: One World in the schedule for NIne or GO! (or even GEM for that matter).
Everyone I know who loves Survivor is obtaining the new series by “other means”.
These same people say they would be happy to watch it on Nine, GO! or any where so long as it aired within a few days at most of the US air date.
By all reports, Survivor: One World is a brilliant season. But having to wait over two months for Nine to air it?
Nine – back at you. Are you playing Survivor: One World after Easter?
