4.00pm Update: More of the logo has been revealed, but in some BIG news, Big Brother audition information will be released TONIGHT on A Current Affair.
9.30am Update: We were promised with the ‘big reveal’, but all we got was a standard size reveal with only one of the remaining four puzzle pieces lifted- the smallest of the four! What we now see is an eye forming, and it looks to be a mock-up of the eye used on the British version of the show. I don’t know about this; Big Brother Australia has been slammed in the past for copying the British format’s tasks and twists; so how will fans react to us using their eye?
7.30pm Update: After another question was answered, more of the puzzle was revealed, but this time, nothing else of interest has popped up. Only four puzzle pieces remain, and they are the biggest four. I wouldn’t be surprised if they revealed each piece one by one at this point, but if not, expect this puzzle to be completed some time tomorrow. They’ve been quite slow though- I really think that this promotion would have been handled better if they consistently revealed pieces. It’s really starting to wane my interest.
11.30am Update: More pieces have been revealed. Now, we cand definitely see that the letters will spell out ‘Big Brother’ with the word ‘BIG’ placed closely to the word ‘BROTHER’, highlighted in a lighter blue font. Still, no more peaks at the eye.
8.30am Update: More of the outline has been revealed, which shows nothing. The only noticeable update here is we can now see, in the bottom centre of the picture, what looks like the letter ‘H’ forming- strongly hinting that this is indeed a Big Brother logo reveal.
Updated: A second question has been correctly answered, and the above image is that shown as of 7PM. The top outline of what looks to be the logo can now be seen.
The official Facebook page of Big Brother Australia has today played with its online fans by asking them to answer quiz questions about the show, which will return on Nine later this year. In return for correct answers, the team have been revealling pieces of a ‘puzzle’ which features as the page’s Cover Photo (above, current as of 5pm).
In a status posted earlier today, the Facebook team began the challenge.
‘Big Brother has asked us to play an eye-catching game. See the above jigsaw puzzle? We’ll reveal pieces of the puzzle when you correctly answer. Are you ready to play?’
One questions has since been asked, and answered correctly, leading to the revelation of some pieces of the puzzle. The picture seems to include a pastel-y yellow and red background with the letter ‘R’ visible near the bottom right (or is that a ‘B’?).
The picture is almost certainly going to reveal the eye after Nine officially confirmed a few days ago that a new eye logo was ‘coming soon’. However, this has not stopped fans puzzling over what the picture could be. A promotional poster? Audition dates?
The next question is set to be asked at 7PM EDST with a correct answer warranting a more complete puzzle soon after. It is not yet clear when the picture will be complete in its entirety however it’s likely the new Big Brother Australia eye logo will be revealed by tomorrow.
