From his home in Los Angeles Günsberg said: “I’m so thrilled to get a chance to come and work for FOXTEL again – where my TV career first began. I had a blast hosting GOT TO DANCE for CBS in America and I can’t wait to do the same in Australia.
The series is a true celebration of people who enjoy any type of dancing and everyone from Bunbury to Brisbane from Sydney to Kalgoorlie can have a shot at this by jumping on-line and showing us what they can do.”
Andrew began his career in television at FOXTEL as a presenter on Channel [V] in 1999. Over his seven years with the music channel he presented a series of programs including whatUwant, The Joint and Andrew G’s Excellent Adventure. From 2003 he hosted seven seasons of Australian Idol on Channel Ten along with the game show The Con Test.
Upon relocating to LA in 2009 Andrew scored the highly coveted role as host on the US version of GOT TO DANCE alongside Paula Abdul in January 2011 making him the first Australian to ever host a prime time television show in America on CBS. He can also be heard weekly on the popular radio show “ The Hot Hits live from LA” throughout Australia on the Southern Cross Austereo Network.
Originating in the UK where it’s now entering its third and most popular season to date on Sky, GOT TO DANCE has become a certified worldwide hit with millions of viewers watching different versions around the globe.
GOT TO DANCE Australia will premiere exclusively on FOX8 later this year and is produced for FOXTEL by Shine Australia.
