8:30pm – Thursday, April 26 on ABC1
What better way to open up the discussion about climate change than to send two very passionate and intelligent Australians, with opposing views, on a mutual journey of discovery around the globe. Each has the chance to track down whomever they like to help aid their side of the ongoing climate change debate.
Premiering Thursday, April 26 at 8:30pm AEST on ABC1, I Can Change Your Mind About Climate sees Anna Rose, co-founder of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition and Nick Minchin, former Liberal senator and climate change challenger, set out on what is at times a very awkward and confrontational 65,000km trip – surprising each other with the viewpoints of a range of experts, scientists, journalists, politicians and bloggers.
From the farmlands of Moree, New South Wales to the lofty, volcanic heights of Hawaii to the lawns of the White House and Britain’s Houses of Parliament, I Can Change Your Mind About Climate is a compelling experiment about an issue on which Australians have never been more divided.
Politics vs science, hope vs despair, values vs data – the one-hour documentary I Can Change Your Mind About Climate premieres Thursday, April 26 at 8:30pm AEST, followed by the special – Q&A:The Climate Debate at 9:30pm AEST.
