Molly Meldrum will speak his first words to the media, at 6 pm on Wednesday April 18 Seven News, with a follow up on Today Tonight at 6.30pm. Presumably the news will be just a snippet while TT will have the full interview.
On 15 December 2011, Meldrum was taken to hospital in a critical condition after being found unconscious in the backyard of his home in Richmond, VIC. He is believed to have fallen off a ladder from a height of around three metres. As well as head injuries, Meldrum had a broken shoulder, broken ribs, a punctured lung and cracked vertebrae. On 19 January 2012, Meldrum was taken out of hospital and moved into a rehabilitation centre.
Molly was inducted into the Logie Hall of Fame on Sunday nights Logie awards, but was not able to attend the deeply moving presentation.
Molly is an Aussie Icon and I for one will be tuning in.
