Nine have scheduled two hours of The Voice next Sunday April 22, but what does that mean for 60 Minutes? And how will Dancing with the Stars suffer against the latest ratings smash?
On Sunday April 22, The Voice will air from 6.30 – 8.30 (although this means it may finish even later), with the premiere of Beaconsfield to follow from around 8.30pm.
As a result, 60 Minutes is out.
It is not clear whether the two hours of The Voice on Sunday will be permanent during the run of the show. If so, that means we will be without 60 Minutes for a few months – which is no different to what Seven does with resting Sunday Night during its run of Dancing with the Stars.
But with well over 2 million tuning into The Voice so far, Dancing with The Stars could be left clutching for viewers on Sunday night. Last week, against the Logies, Dancing with the Stars reached 1.1 million – not bad, but lower than what the show can usually draw.
We are already seeing Australia’s Got Talent pulling lower than it’s usual figures against the tough new competition.
The Voice on Sunday April 22 is Blind Auditions 4, then it continues on Monday April 23 8.00pm and Tuesday April 24 7.30pm.
