Q&A Bob Brown special on Monday, April 23

Monday, April 23 at 9.35pm (AEST) on ABC1 and ABC News 24

Q&A host Tony Jones will next week sit down with sole panellist – outgoing leader of the Australian Greens, Bob Brown.

Viewers at home and the live studio audience will have the opportunity to have their questions answered directly by the retiring Senator – on his accomplishments, his regrets and the legacy he’s left for his party and the nation.

After almost 40 years working within the environmental movement and Australian politics, many are wondering whether the Greens will continue to rise without him.

Having played a critical role in Julia Gillard’s minority government, the party now faces new challenges including adjustment to a new leader and the ongoing criticism from the controversial carbon tax.

ABC News 24 and ABC News radio will continue to simulcast the program live so that Australians everywhere can join the Q&A conversation. The program is also streamed live at abc.net.au/qanda.

Australia Network will also continue to broadcast Q&A into Southeast Asia and the Pacific every Monday night.
