Recap: The Biggest Loser Australia: Singles Season Seven – Challenge #12

Previous episode: The Biggest Loser Australia: Singles Season Seven – Temptation #11

Tonight, it’s the contestants against mother nature. Could these contestants ACTUALLY win? We’ll find out.

Before all that, it’s time to see how the temptation finishes up from last night. Click the link above to see how temptation went yesterday as the table below has been updated for the results.

Temptation Results

Lydia eats 8 Cupcakes, Loses Immunity. 904 Calories.

Kasey eats 4 Cupcake, Wins Immunity. 452 Calories.

Brenda eats 2 Cupcakes, No Immunity. 226 Calories.

Bek eats 2 Cupcakes, No Immunity. 226 Calories.

Margie eats 1 Cupcake, No Immunity. 113 Calories.

Temptation Result: Kasey Wins Immunity- should cause some conflict.

Lydia can’t think of a better person to have immunity, but she is still disappointed. After they leave the room, she breaks down. Margie is there to comfort her. It must hurt. 904 calories and nothing to show for it. Back in the room, Brenda is trying to make Kasey feel less guilty. Margie later tells Kasey that while she is upset for Lydia, she is glad Kasey won it. Alex just reminds people that Lydia hasn’t gone yet. Kasey agrees with Alex and Margie not to vote for Lydia if she goes under…unless Graham does, for Alex.

Opinion point: Was it right for Kasey to ‘steal’ immunity off of Lydia?

After the break, it is time for the boys to have another training session with the Commando- so they go for a run. Commando asks who they want to see in the finals. Alex wants to keep Brenda in. Graham seems to agree. Meanwhile, Bek & Brenda gets a nutritional session from Shannan. Meanwhile, Michelle is giving Margie an outdoor training session after her breakdown yesterday. Margie has to explain that Lydia is getting her sore knee looked at with the surgeon and about temptation. Margie reveals she had a cupcake after the temptation was up. Upon hearing this, Michelle and Margie have a falling out. It’s not helped when Michelle begins to accuse her of throwing deflections, like walking off and crying.

She gets Margie to read her contract again. She wrote it at the beginning of the season.

Opinion point: Is Margie justified in her attitude with Michelle?

Michelle goes to comfort Margie, who finds it hard to look at Michelle. It doesn’t work, so they train. Afterwards, Margie tells her she feels she has disappointed people. They talk through this. Afterwards, Tiffiny goes to train Kasey and is overwhelmed over Kasey’s immunity. Kasey tells Tiffiny of her guilt. Tiffiny just tells her how proud she is of her.

Afterwards, Shannan wants to get Bek and Brenda out of their comfort zones. He takes them to his gym to assist in a pump class. They head to Dee Why Fitness First, and with the help of Shannan, they do well!

Afterwards, it’s challenge time. They head down in the wind and rain to Sydney Harbour where Hayley is waiting for them.

Challenge Brief: They’re going on a cruise. They will board a boat and travel to the middle of Sydney Harbour. Simply, they must jump ship, swim to shore and make their way to CBL. In this wet! After swimming to the shore, they must dig up a treasure chest, carry it 1.5km to CBL where they must find the key that opens their treasure chest.

The winner will win big- 1kg advantage.

Lydia and Alex have been medically ruled out.

They’re all taken out 200m off shore before being thrown overboard to begin the challenge. Bek is near the lead. Margie has a panic attack at 100m giving Bek the chance to get ahead of her. Margie takes off her jacket. Bek makes it to shore first. Bek begins to dig for her chest. Margie is second with Kasey third. Graham is fourth. Brenda brings up the rear. Margie finds her chest first. Margie begins to run up to CBL. Bek finds her treasure chest second.

Opinion point: Thoughts on the challenge?

Graham is in third place when he leaves, overtaking Kasey. Kasey leaves fourth, but Brenda is just behind her. Margie makes it back first and goes to open her chest. After a while, she finds the right key. Bek makes it back second.

Challenge Result: Margie wins. Margie wins a 1kg advantage.

The contestants then uncover what’s inside the boxes- messages and gifts from loved ones. Bek opens her chest second. Kasey is third and Graham is fourth. It’s quite emotional for everyone. The boxes also include nostalgic memorabilia, like Kasey’s teddy bear. Brenda is fifth. Lydia and Alex also gets to open up a box of their own. Lydia finds a once-prized piece of clothing that no longer fits her. Alex has a whole heap of support from his family. It’s a real tear-jerker ending, and I’m glad they played it out in full.

The Biggest Loser Australia: Singles next airs Apr 19 at 7PM on TEN.
