Recap: The Biggest Loser Australia: Singles Season Seven – Weigh In #14 & Elimination #15

Previous episode: The Biggest Loser Australia: Singles Season Seven – Thursday Night #3

Five are left, but after tonight, only four will survive. But hang on… four contestants and MORE competition? Something’s not right here…

The contestants arrive home from Switzerland to find a letter.

Letter contents: There’s a homecoming present waiting for them…!

They hear a knock at the door and they find out it is their friends and families! They are shocked and surprised and some even in tears. Bek, Kasey and Margie’s mothers, Alex’s sister and Brenda’s bestie are all given the grand tour of the house. The trainers then come in to find out Graham has been eliminated. Alex is the last man standing!

Michelle reveals that the families have turned up on a good day- last chance training- and they’re going to be doing it as well!

Alex’s sister does well to keep up with Alex and Tiffiny is impressed with Kasey’s mum’s ninja cry. She can’t stop crying when she sees Kasey’s improvement. Michelle pushes Margie and her mother is also impressed to see the improvements. Shannan makes no apology for training both Bek and Brenda and their loved ones in a flogging LCT. It’s emotional for the girls, who shed a lot of tears in the eye opening training session. Bek’s mum tells Bek that the fault that Bek has hardly contacted her dad lies with her dad- putting to rest that notion once and for all. To finish off, they debrief in the lounge and say goodbye to their loved ones.

Its then weigh in. Here they learn that this year will be more competitive. Along with reverting back to the single’s format, the show will also revert back to the practice of having three finalists- something that hasn’t happened since season three.

Weigh In Results

Alex: Weighed: 107.6kg. Now weighs: 102.1kg, a loss of 5.5kg (5.11%) (First Place)

Bek: Weighed: 87.3kg. Now weighs: 84.7kg, a loss of 2.6kg (2.98%) (Below Yellow Line)

Brenda: Weighed: 86.9kg. Now weighs: 83.8kg, a loss of 3.1kg (3.57%) (Third Place)

Kasey: Weighed: 90.6kg. Now weighs: 87.6 kg, a loss of 3.0kg (3.31%) (Below Yellow Line)

Margie: Weighed: 107.2kg. Now weighs: 102.6kg, a loss of 4.6kg (4.29%) (Second Place)

Alex is this week’s Biggest Loser. Bek and Kasey will be facing elimination. So how does it all go down?

Elimination Results

Bek’s Plea To Stay: She definitely feels one of the finale places should be hers.

Kasey’s Plea To Stay: She wants the opportunity to finish something. She can’t remember the last time she did.

VOTING

Alex: He has to look after himself and feels Bek is stronger than Kasey, so he votes off Bek.

Brenda: One of them is a great support to her. That person isn’t Kasey.

Margie: She thinks of the person who still needs to be here as they haven’t reached their full potential. That person is Bek.

Result: With two votes to one, Bek has been re-eliminated from The Biggest Loser.

Brenda is teary, as is Margie, who cast the deciding vote. Bek sympathises for Margie, but jokes that she holds no grudges for voting her out…twice. She says her goodbyes to everyone, and leaves the house.

Opinion point: Were the right choices made here tonight?

The Biggest Loser Australia: Singles next airs Apr 30 at 7PM on TEN.
