The Price is Right on Seven from Monday May 7

The 2012 incarnaiton of The Price is Right, hosted by Larry Emdur premieres on Seven Monday May 7 at 5.00pm.

Seven will be hoping that The Price is Right will deliver higher ratings to Deal or No Deal, and then the 6pm news, which is being beaten by Nine im some cities. The 4.30pm news will be cut to half an hour (one hour was always too long) as a result, making way for The Price is Right at 5.00pm while Deal remains at 5.30pm.

Larry Emdur says that is some pressure to perform well.

    I think it’s pretty clear what seven are doing… they’re losing 5:30 to Millionaire. This move is letting them test the waters. If Price is Right rates well expect it to switch time slots with Deal and don’t be surprised if we see deal go altogether!

    Doesn’t suit me, I always watch the 5pm Channel 10 news for 1/2 hour as I’m unable to watch it at 6pm. Will switch it back and forth ;-)
