WAG Nation Review - Airs Wednesdays 9.30pm on Arena

WAG NATION follows the lives of five wives and girlfriends of some of Australia’s most famous sporting stars. The 10-part series is a voyeuristic look into the lives of these five glamorous women as they juggle life and love with a fast-paced social calendar packed with launch events.

Warning – this show is not for everyone.

Especially if you have a brain cell.

The WAG’s are;

Terry Biviano – Married to Sydney Roosters player Anthony Minichiello (NRL)

Jackie Spong – Married to Carlton Blues player Jarrad Waite (AFL)

Lynette Bolton – Married to Sydney Swans player Jude Bolton (AFL)

Chantelle Raleigh – Girlfriend of Gold Coast Blaze captain Adam Gibson (NBL)

Jana Peterson – Long-term girlfriend of Cronulla Sharks player John Williams (NRL)

In the premiere episode, I last till just after the first ad break. This is what happened.

The ladies start out saying how hot their men are, how they love their masages, fashion and jewellrey.

We then have Jana saying who she is and that she wants a ring from her boyfriend – it doesn’t have to be big, just nice! She proclaims to have no friends as she moved from Townsville to Sydney to be with Johnny. Oh poor diddums.

Chantelle is in a long distance relationship and that she models, acts (like a bimbo) and is a flight attendant – she thinks that she and her sisters could be the blonde Kardashians – well I think this show is in the same category as theirs, so you might be on to something there. At a basketball game we see Chantelle watch Adam play and she brags that the stadium was completely full – umm then what are all those empty seats? They go to Hugo’s and should of got a hotel room – a very public display of affection indeed!

I’ve had to give up. This is mind numbing so far. Now if I have offended I apologise, but there will definitely be a market for this show. I was actually looking forward to it, I don’t mind the occasional trashy TV show. But I am sorry this is awful.

WAG NAtion airs on ARENA Wednesdays at 9.30pm – Watch The Celebrity Apprentice on FOX8 instead.

    Agreed, I love trashy TV but this is just pathetic bogans trying to show a display of sophistication and intelligence that is clearly lacking.
