Dancing With The Stars Week 7 - Goodbye Jessica Watson

Dancing With The Stars is tonight pitting the girls against the guys, Damien Leith is performing and there will be a tribute to Robin Gibb from the Bee Gees who passed away this week.

Danielle Spencer / Damian Whitewood
Dance – Paso Doble to Evanesceence “What You Want”
Danielle looks amazing and the dancing is superb.
Todd = 9/10 – You are the king and queen of this competition and that just prooves it. You have grown each episode, I thought you were fantastic.
Helen = 10/10 – I thought it was absolutely sensational.
Joshua = 9/10 – Wow, what a spectacular opening number and creatively that was fantastic. Some routines make me want to jump out of my seat, but that one didn’t. I was nervous watching you.
= 28/30

Brian Mannix / Melanie Hooper
Dance – Viennese Waltz to  The Beatles “You Got To Hide Your Love Away”
I love Brian for a laugh.
Todd = 6/10 – What you lack in technique (but) somehow doing that thing you just did is reaally entertaining. We can see the effort but unfortunately I have to judge you on technique.
Helen = 7/10 – I think you are a genuine character and you are giving it your best. You should be proud of yourself.
Joshua = 8/10 – I thought the routine took a while to get going, you need to piece everything together. If you get to the grand final I want you to be there because you deserve to be.
= 21/30 – Their best score!

Zoe Cramond / Aric Yegudkin
Dance – Quickstep
Zoe is fabulous as usual and gets a standing ovation from the crowd. Think we have a 30!
Todd = 10/10 – I didn’t write anything down because I didn’t want to miss any of it. It took off – Amazing!
Helen = 10/10 – Your two clever little ducks, that the perfect picture for what a quickstep is. A duck on a pond – serenity on the top but legs going like the clappers underneath. There was nothing not to like.
Joshua = 10/10 – That was fresh and exciting, the dancing was strong and the scting even stronger.
= 30/30 – A well deserved perfect score!

Brendan Fevola / Jessica Raffa
Dance – Samba to “I Love That Sound” by Tiger Lou
Loving Fevola! Love him to bits! A great fun dance.
Todd = 5/10 – You have to commend the timing but it was sloppy. I really thought it was too sloppy at this point. You are trying.
Helen = 6/10 – I was really hoping you would get on top of the timing and as far as I’m concerned you kicked a goal with that – I am so impressed. You did a good job.
Joshua = 7/10 – I love a solid fevola opening with lots of lifts. I am so confident of your lifts I would put them on a professional stage. You did well but at times you looked like a little boy who needed to go to the toilet. Your doing the steps but not kicking a goal.
= 18/30

Jessica Watson / Damien Samuel
Dance – Salsa to Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody”
I like and admire Jess, but she always bores me.
Todd = 4/10 – Your fearless, your confident but the timing sucked. Unfortunately we are looking for the whole package. Your a sweet little thing but the salsa – you’ve been severly salsa’d?!
Helen = 4/10 – obviously you do lifts without fear but the guts of the dance you struggle with timing. You’ve got to work harder.
Joshua = 5/10 – It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It’s fantastic that you have no fear, but everyone thinks the lifts are impressive but Damien is is doing all the work (Todd butts in saying that this is crap, saying the girl does all the work – he’s peeved off) I’m not fooled by it, I see through it. Technically you are lagging, you need a gimmick.
= 13/50

Johnny Ruffo / Luda Kroiter
Dance – Viennese Waltz to “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz
What a beautiful and romantic dance.
Todd = 7/10 – You froze out there for the first time ever – you had nothing. You dropped the ball at the wrong time.
Helen = 7/10 – It’s week 7 and the pressure is on, to improve you need to characterise the dance more.
Joshua = 7/10 – You were too tentative with your moves. Your transitions need to be more smoother and you need more fluidity. But you are Johnny Ruffo – you can walk on stage and fart and the whole crowd goes wild.

That put’s the ladder as this -

Zoe – 30
Daniellle – 28
Brian – 21
Johnny – 21
Brendan – 18
Jessica – 13

Now the professional dancers do a tribute to a Bee Gees medley, in honour of Barry Gibb who passed away this week from cancer.

Damien Leith covers George Harrison’s “Got My Mind Set On You” – Original so much better!

The boys now are set against the girls – whoever wins gets extra points. The boys dance to “I Like How It Feels” by Enrique Iglesias and do well and get a standing ovation. Helen loves it, epecially the 3 girl lift that Fevola did, Josh thought it was great and Todd thinks it was gold. Mel B says they are like a boy band – and Johnny says “yeah we are – called No Direction!” Haha!
Todd – 9/10
Helen – 9/10
Joshua – 10/10
= 28/30

Now for the girls who dance to “Dance Again” by J. LO. It’s good but the guys was definitely better. You gave us fine dancing, Todd says, while Josh thought it was fun and Helen thinks it will be close. The girls gat the dancing but the boys the entertainment.
Todd – 9/10
Helen – 9 /10
Joshua – 9/10
= 27/30 – The boys win and deserved to.

Now the leader board reads like this -

Zoe – 57
Danielle – 55
Johnny – 49
Brian – 49
Brendan – 26
Jessica – 40

Now the results. Zoe, Brian, Danielle and Johnny are safe. That leaves Fevola and jessica – please let Fev be safe. YES HE IS  – Jessica is out. Love her,  but about time.
