For the first time, Fox Sports will venture to the far reaches of the globe covering the world’s toughest adventure athletes in a dramatic weekly series Macpac Wild Racers, premiering May 23.
From South America, through Asia, Africa, North America and Europe, and over thousands of kilometres of gruelling mountain biking, trail running and kayaking, FOX SPORTS will exclusively showcase the premier adventure race series in the world.
Macpac Wild Racers follows a select team of athletes as they test the boundaries of human endurance in a series of expedition adventure races in the harshest environments on the planet. Tied together by the AR World Series, the ultimate goal for the team is to be crowned the Adventure Racing World Champions.
Six of the best AR World Series expedition races will provide the dramatic backdrop of each round, from the XPD Expedition Race in Australia, to ‘Godzone’ in New Zealand along with stops in Costa Rica, Equador, South Africa and the US.
The journey, the tears and triumphs are all captured in stunning high definition in a 24-part series which premieres on Wednesday 23 May at 7.30pm AEST on FOX SPORTS 3HD & FOX SPORTS 3 and continues with weekly Wednesday night instalments.
The world-renowned Australian event, the XPD Expedition Race, sees teams of four competitors trek, mountain bike, and kayak day and night for up to ten days through a course covering 700 kilometres of Tasmania’s West Coast. The Aussie race will feature in the first four episodes of the series.
