After this, the contestants go for some training. They all discuss some of the events of the season and look ahead to the finale. Contestants then sit in the lounge to wait for Hayley.
Hayley’s Message: Tonight, they’re going to get practice at mingling with other people. They’re going for a cocktail party- the Biggest Loser Cocktail Party! They’re also going to be the night’s chefs under the guidance of Michael Moore. People who are attending the event have expressed interest in the contestants through online profiles.
Ten people have been selected to turn up and they get to preview what they’re gonna see! Afterwards, Michael Moore herds them into the kitchen to give them some healthy cooking tips before they get cracking. The stuff they will be cooking is:
Rare beef salad, enoki mushrooms, pickled chilli and fresh horseradish, 52 Calories. Brenda Will cook this.
Spiced chickpeas and lentils with fetta, coriander and walnuts, 130 Calories. Alex Will cook this.
Tuna Carpaccio with pepper, tomato and avocado on water bread, 71 Calories. Kasey will cook this.
Fresh crab, lemon, parsley and caper-salad with ricotta on crostini, 61 Calories. Margie will cook this.
They then get started! It’s all very MasterChef but they all do really well. Michael Moore is on hand to give them all proper advice and they all seem more excited for the night ahead than nervous. After their dishes have been created, they go out to get spruced up for their night. The trainers come into their bedrooms to see the contestants and some of them admit to not ever having been to a cocktail party. The weigh in room has been done up very nicely and the people are waiting to meet the contestants! They come out one by one looking very nice. They then begin to mingle with one another. They are all colour coded so the contestants know which ones are there for them. The jazz number pumps and it’s a really good first cocktail party this lot have put on!
Kasey does well to ‘play the field’ and Brenda is looking very confident! Kasey is also acting as Margie’s wingman haha. You can tell how confident they have all gotten.
Opinion point: What do you think of the cocktail party?
They all sit down with the one’s they like the most and Alex is so funny with his girl. Margie actually finds someone she used to play rugby with way back when. Afterwards, it is time to dance! At one point, Kasey is dancing with one of her men, and another one of her men is dancing dejectedly behind her.
This ends the night.
The Biggest Loser Australia: Singles next airs May 2 at 7PM on TEN.
