Hosted by Joel Phillips and Nicole Singh, ABC3′s awesome music show, Stay Tuned (30 x 30minute) returns for a second series. Offering an insight into the music industry, the show is based on online audience interaction whereby viewers send in their music-related video questions for Nicole and Joel to answer.
Episode Eight: Touring – Friday, July 13 at 7.00pm In this episode we take a road trip behind the scenes of the music industry to answer the question “What is touring?” Joel has a terrible case of the man flu and can’t get out of bed so his cousin Joelhan from Germany tags along with Nicole as she answers this question, as well as playing tour guide.
Nicole starts her tour with a visit to Darth Vegas, an uber trendy indie band who tour for more than half the year in their crazy masks. They give Nicole a good starting point on what touring actually is, but Joelhan is more intent on building up his photo collection than listening to the band. Next up is Real Estate who have played their cool music across the globe and are more than happy to share their touring stories.
Nicole continues her cut-rate tour with Joelhan around the city and they bump into Diafrix along the way.
Diafrix are dynamic hip hoppers making a big noise on the Aussie music scene and have even busted rhymes in Parliament House. Will they help Nicole answer this week’s question.
