Previous Episode: The Block Season Five – Unlocked Week 8
Especially for Sophie & Dale, this has been a particularly harsh week. So when the Living & Dining rooms have been completed, who will come out on top?
The contestants are waking up to room reveal day eve, except Dale who is still in hospital thanks to blood poisoning. We are reminded of the generous compassion everyone had for Sophie. Now, Sophie has to decorate the room. Meanwhile, Mike & Andrew are enjoying a sleep in to the chagrin of the tradies who are standing around doing nothing. Cam, their apprentice, has worked hard on the levelling of the floor in the brother’s dining room and is annoyed that Andrew makes things too complicated. Making matters worse is the carpet man not happy with the job. Cam has to rip up the floor and replace it in one hour.
Meanwhile, Freedom Kitchens have finished their entertainment unit specially built for Dan & Dani. It’s good news, but they’re not the only couple to receive some with Sophie finding out Dale is allowed to come home.
Brad & Lara are out buying art in order to get the judges to love their style. Lara has little confidence. They are low on cash after buying an expensive heater that they may not even be able to fit into the room anywhere. They have to make sure they install it to Keith, and the manuals, guidelines.
After the break, Dale is home from hospital to a welcoming party! But back to business- Keith is annoyed that Brad & Lara are pushing the boundaries when it comes to the installation of their heater. As it turns out, Keith is looking at guidelines set for another model of heater- and the one Brad & Lara have meets the guidelines necessary. Phew.
Now everyone can get to styling and decorating their rooms. Unfortunately for Dale, he has to stop for IV treatment every once in a while.
This room reveal looks like it will get done pretty well with all contestants seemingly almost finished and having a bit of fun the night before.
After the break, it is the end of the week and room reveal is just around the corner. These rooms look REALLY good and at final call, despite some small hiccups, the rooms look so modern and fascinating.
