Australia Is Sick of "Aussie, Aussie Aussie - Oi, Oi, Oi"

REALLY? Like to see this catch on – NOT!

After asking Australians the question, “Are you sick of hearing the traditional sporting chant ‘Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi”?,the answer, according to Foxtel’s on-line  is Yes, Yes, Yes!.

Anirudh Hattangadi, a student from Strathfield in New South Wales, was today announced the winner of a new national sporting chant after uploading his novel entry coining the phrase “Green, Green, Green and Gold - Every medal we shall hold”.

Four weeks ago, Foxtel offered Australians the chance to win a $10,000 prize in a fun and celebratory competition by coming up with a new phrase to cheer on our athletes.

Partly inspired by his high school motto, the creation and filming took four days to complete.

Hattangadi, 22, said: “I am so excited to have won. When I heard about the competition I really wanted to win so I could buy a ticket to London for the Games. It looks like my wish has come true. I can’t think of any better way to spend the prize than by sitting amongst the crowd in London screaming my new chant for all our aussie heroes.”

The entries were reduced to a final four before being tested by an online camera system which measures the viewers emotional response to each clip via facial tracking software
