Big Brother Australia will launch in exactly two weeks with fourteen housemates confirmed to enter the brand new Big Brother house, when Nine reopens its doors.
With the Big Brother website launching in full today, Nine confirmed through the website’s ‘Little Sister’ section that fourteen contestants will be introduced to the public when the show launches on 13 August, and will enter the house during the launch show to be taped the day before.
Meanwhile, show host has also pretty much confirmed that live nomination shows will return. During an interview, Kruger stated that she planned to remain in the Gold Coast over the weekends, leaving Tuesday to continue her Mornings commitments.
”I’ll be on the Gold Coast every weekend and then I’ll fly back to Sydney on Tuesday and pick up Mornings from there.” Kruger said. She also confirmed that guest presenters will take her place on Monday.
When asked about her contact with the housemates, Kruger further stipulated live nomination shows.
”I look forward to being able to talk to them on those Sunday Night Evictions and Nominations Nights,” she said.
Meanwhile, rumours are flying about a live show supposedly airing on Tuesday August 14, a day after launch. No word on that yet.
Lastly, Kruger has also confirmed that this year will see a vote to save replace the usual vote to evict. Back in 2006 and 2007, viewers were given the option to both save or evict. This will be the first time the public will be voting to save exclusively.
Big Brother Australia relaunches on Nine on Monday 13 August at 7PM.
