FOX8 will premiere The Beat of London, bringing teens around the world closer to the action of the London 2012 Olympic Games from July 30, Mondays to Saturdays at 5.30pm EST.
Hosted from London by Australian presenter Darren McMullen and UK MTV star Lauren Whitmore, the half-hour variety show will feature exclusive interviews with some of the world’s biggest celebrities, sports stars, comedians and live music acts including GRAMMY Award winning music producer Mark Ronson, chart-topping vocalist Katy B, Dizzee Rascal, The Wanted, Paloma Faith and The Stereophonics.
“I’m extremely excited to be in London for the Games hosting a show that will be focused on a youth audience,” said McMullen.
“We will have your AAA pass into all the hottest events happening around the city and will chat to the biggest stars as they descend upon London to be a part of the greatest show on earth, the London 2012 Olympic Games.”
Along with hosts McMullen and Whitmore, radio superstar Dave Berry from London’s Capital FM will take to the streets in a fully pimped-out roadbus featuring a pop-up studio which will travel to famous attractions capturing the coolest Olympic events for teenagers across the globe.
The Beat of London is a joint venture between ITV and Coca Cola airing in more than 30 countries.
