This week on Winners & Losers the girls explore new worlds and welcome new and old family members.
Anxious to make a good impression at O Week, Jenny tries desperately to fit in and make friends. But her first day dredges up ghosts of High School past and sees her return to her comfort zone – the girls loos, just like old times. When she decides to quit, it’s Callum who convinces her that all she needs to be is herself and people will love her as much as he does. On her second day, it is much better as Jenny does feel more confident and does make new friends (hopefully this new guy friend won’t tear Jenny & Callum apart).
Bec & Callum are horrified by the thought that their parents might be dating again, but when their dad introduces his new twenty-eight-year-old fiancée Brandi – Bec, Matt and Callum are shocked. Bec’s jaw nearly touches the ground when Brandi asks Bec to be her bridesmaid (I mean, would you be a bridesmaid to someone who is the same age as you and whose marrying your father?). Bec is put in an impossible position of having to choose between her parents’ and she almost spills the beans.
Its Sophie’s first day of placement in the emergency department and she’s pumped to help out and get into the action seeing as though the hospital is so busy. She’s disappointed and frustrated that she’s not a doctor by now and as a Student is relegated to the menial tasks only. When Sophie is faced with a medical emergency, she decides to use her initiative. She saves the day, but she might lose her career as she will have to face the hospital board.
When Zach’s ex wife Claire turns up on Frances’ doorstep to apologise for the cruel words she said at Bec’s wedding, Frances can’t stop looking for an ulterior motive. Despite everyone’s insistence that Claire won’t be a part of her life, Claire keeps turning up and it’s more than Frances can handle…(Go away Claire!)
