Big Brother Australia Season Nine – The First Eviction: Will it be Charne, Estelle or Layla?

Previous Episode: Big Brother Australia Season Nine – Bike Task Result and will Ryan get a birthday?

It’s time for the first eviction, but whose time is it to go?! Will it be kitchen goddess Charne, Ryan-loving Estelle or British babe Layla?

The show begins as you would expect it to- a quick intro from Sonia and the voting numbers! Layla’s getting a few boos- which doesn’t usually happen in Australia- maybe it’s a boo at the idea of her leaving. We then get a quick recap of the week that was. We then have a look at some weekend highlights.

6.14PM (No idea what day): Ryan is called to the diary room to put on his suit for his party. It’s a glamour theme. The girls dress as starlets and the boys dress as paparazzi. There is a cake with a picture of a shirtless Ryan on it- as picked by the viewers.

Apparently, George is getting attention from both Layla and Zoe.

9.07PM: The housemates sit down to see some of Ryan’s modelling portfolio. Ben looks impressed. Ryan is asked to re-enact some of the poses.

9.42PM: The housemates are talking about Layla and George. Layla is annoyed that people have been gossiping about her and George. Benjamin is back in a dress!

12.37AM: Benjamin tries to get George to spoon Layla in the bedroom. They end up making out.

Voting lines close after the first break.

We then look at highlights for the Saturday. Layla and George are still the talk of the town. Sarah thinks Layla is insane, as well as their posse. At dinner, Bradley brings up the topic of alliances. Bradley says the ‘originals’ don’t like the late-comers as much, causing Benjamin to throw water all over him.

Afterwards, Benjamin confronts Bradley, telling him he’s sorry for throwing water over him but calling him ‘rude’. He didn’t find his comment funny. It’s now time to have a look at the girls’ secrets.

Males’ Secrets Task Result

Same rules apply as when the females did this. However, they will not be given four lives- they will be given three lives as a result of two rule breaks throughout the week.

Housemates Pick: Charne (Correct)

Lives Remaining: 3

Secret 2: This housemate was a hand model.

Housemates Pick: Stacey (Correct)

Secret 5: This housemate was an emo.

Lives Remaining: 1

Secret 6: This housemate is related to royalty.

Housemates Pick: Angie (Incorrect)

Result: The boys have FAILED their secret task and the females win immunity from tomorrow’s nominations.

Now that’s all done with, let’s get to the main event- EVICTION!

EVICTION RESULT: The housemate who received the most votes, and is SAVED from eviction is… Layla!

The housemate who received the LEAST amount of votes, and who will be the first to leave the Big Brother house is…CHARNE!

OMG! Sonia said ‘It’s time to go!’ That’s GRETEL’S LINE!!! But I don’t care- those words are soothing to my ears!

Charne leaves the Big Brother house.

And after the break, Charne joins Sonia for the first eviction interview of 2012. She is so excited and amazed. She calls the feeling of being evicted ‘odd’.

Wow, we’re actually shown the eviction percentages of each person. Charne got 24%, Estelle got 27% and Layla got 49% of the votes to save.

Charne found it hard to be without her comfort items and found living with OCD hard. We review her OCD moments. We then look at her ‘odd ball’ moments. She then talks about her age difference before confirming we saw the real Charne. She claims to have bonded well with Benjamin and Sarah.

Charne’s KFC Top 3 Moments

3: Bradley’s Happy Birthday Song

2. Failing the Secrets Task

1. Please Don’t Hug Me!

Charne says the Big Brother experience ‘broke down a lot of barriers’ for her. She missed a lot of people as well in there. We then take a look at her best bits.

Charne thinks it’s too early to say who will win. She would like BENJAMIN or SARAH to win.

Big Brother Australia next airs Aug 27 at 7PM on Nine.

i loved it but that was a disastiar maybe im being picky. the crowd over the daily show segements is iritating there wasnt enough of a weekend recap to cover 2 days but maybe that will improve next week with no secrets to reveal.
. the secerets to me felt too long and charnaes eviction felt rushed
oh and no couch or prizes it felt cheap lets see if it improves next week

I normally agree with you Ryno but the only thing I agree here is the LACK OF prizes. I thought the length of the show was perfect. The couch thing didn’t bother me. Weekend recap was perfect. Annoyed that Estelle didn’t go especially with the crowd clapping much louder when Sonia announced if Estelle will be leaving. Hopefully it’s Ryan’s turn next week!

Surprising how without a daily show this week, they actually showed footage from over the WHOLE weekend whereas with a daily show last week, they didn’t. I actually didn’t mind the amount of highlights shown, but there has to be a daily show IMO.
No prizes was weird but again, probably because Nine is doing this on a slimmer budget. No couch- well, no biggie. It was a short interview and really, well timed. Thing that grated me about Ten’s Big Brother was the length of the evictee interview. I’d just switch off after 10 minutes.
I think it will improve now the secrets thing is out of the way.

loved that we covered both days but a daily show without the crowd noises would be excellent and the same for monday before nominations also. i think the reason i disliked the length of the interview was because charne was a faveorite and estelle should have gone imo she adds nothing to the show and ryans the same
