This task looks fun- it involves dancing and seems like it could be a bit of an endurance challenge. How will the contestants fare in their first weekly task?
DAY 3, 8.07AM: The first task has been set up. When the music starts, housemates have 90 seconds to run to the stage area and dance. George reads out the instructions. Afterwards, Ryan is talking about the new entrances.
Benjamin is helping Michael in the kitchen. An exercise regime breaks out in the back yard as Layla and Angie check out George and Ryan. Some of the girls are having a make-up session in the bedroom. They seem to fancy George.
In the kitchen, Ray, George and Ryan are talking about Bradley being a psychopath. Ray thinks he was abused as a child, or at least insinuates it as a possibility.
Apparently, the housemates have to bake bread before the hot water is turned on! The music starts and the housemates begin to dress up and dance at the karaoke section.
1.15PM: Zoe talks to George about Uni life and about not being in a relationship. Some of the girls, Stacey and Layla, quiz Michael about his IQ. Michael seems to be hinting that he has a high IQ. Meanwhile, Ryan is quizzing Josh and Angie in the kitchen about a Man of the Year on Time.
Later, Benjamin gives Ray a small make-up session in the ‘island’ (that seating area in the pool).
Layla and Angie think Ray is a good guy after a dodgy start last night. In the bathroom later, Angie relays some of this information to Benjamin and also says she doesn’t talk much to George.
5.32PM: The housemates are playing some sort of game in the back yard which involves throwing things into Michael’s mouth. In the bathroom, Ray and Ryan talk about entering late. In the bedroom, Stacey, Layla and Estelle are dressing up for the first ‘family dinner’.
In the diary room, Layla and Stacey explain to Big Brother that they are all dressing up the way they would on a third date.
In the back yard, the females decide to head to the dinner together while Bradley at the same time asks one to be his date. He compares the ‘rejection’ to his school formal and the girls feel bad.
At dinner, the contestants cheer to being on Big Brother. Layla is apparently officially Australian because she’s had a rissole. Oh, and here we go again with Ray talking about his ‘smart’ friend. He sparks a conversation about asylum seekers.
Bradley is eating and Stacey scares the hell out of him! Stacey then begins to flirt with Bradley jokingly and Bradley makes a statement about her being old. He then goes on about how old each girl is. Oh dear. Not good for Bradley.
8.42PM: Bradley has upset Stacey over his comments about her age. Angie pulls him aside to set him straight. In the bathroom, Stacey thinks Bradley hates her.
Bradley’s ‘behaviour’ sparks conversation across the house. If you ask me, this has a massive Twitter hashtag of the ‘Exaggerated’ variety written all over it.
Afterwards, Estelle and George talk about George’s job. The female housemates are called to the parlour. Why the HELL are the boys not picking up on this?
The girls don’t do well trying to figure out the multi-millionaire secret.
10.03PM: The girls are still discussing the secrets in the parlour as the boys discuss politics in the garden. The female’s time in the parlour soon comes to an end. They aren’t impressed with all the politics talk. Ryan and Layla bond, after discussing the British Prime Minister.
Ryan comes to the diary room. He says he’s had a pleasant evening. He hopes the housemates will continue to be interested in his ‘book’ (his personality). And here comes the music again! Quick, everybody to the dance mat!
After the dance session, Benjamin continues to dance on the island’s table, before taking a dip in the pool!
11.14PM: The housemates are STILL talking politics. Bradley brings up the carbon tax, but no one wants to talk about politics any more. In the diary room, Ray talks about his relationship with Bradley. It’s not a good relationship.
12.51AM: Bradley and Stacey are ‘flirting’ again in the bedroom. She jokes to Bradley about talking about ‘politi-see-ans’. As the housemates prepare to sleep, the music goes off again!
Big Brother Australia next airs Aug 17 at 7PM on Nine.
