MasterChef All Stars - August 5 to 9 Challenges! 4 WILL Go Home.

This week, four of the All Stars will leave the competition as the competition heats up. Here is the lowdown on the challenges in this weeks episodes.

Sunday 5 August 7.30pm

Tonight the Top 12 All Stars have the chance to ‘Beat the Chef’ in the ultimate immunity challenge. Paired with one of Australia’s best chefs, the All Stars must cook-off against their top chef for the chance to gain immunity and avoid tomorrow night’s pressure test.
The All Stars have the advantage of collectively choosing the core ingredient all 24 chefs must cook with. They can choose between bacon and eggs. Will Hayden beat Vincent Gaddan? Can Chris win against Colin Fasnidge? Or Poh take down Dan Hong? In the end a few All Stars beat the top chefs. Who will they be?

Monday 6 August 7.00pm

A Beef Wellington will spell the end for two All Stars tonight, when the losing contestants from last night’s Immunity Challenge return to the MasterChef kitchen. An old classic, the Beef Wellington is a complex dish with a number of pressure points, but it must be cooked perfectly if they are to avoid elimination. It‘s a tough challenge with many All Stars doing well, and the judges have a hard time deciding who will go home. Sadly two must go, but leave with a smile and money for their charity.

Tuesday 7 August 7.00pm

The Top 10 All Stars have come a long way since they first stepped foot in the MasterChef kitchen. Now it’s time to show the judges just how far they have come, with tonight’s ‘Where are they Now?’ cook-off.
With $5000 up for grabs for the lucky winner’s charity, the All Stars must recreate and evolve a dish they made when they first cooked in the MasterChef kitchen. Expect plenty of nostalgic emotion as the All Stars reminisce on their individual MasterChef journeys.

Wednesday 8 August 7.00pm

Tonight the Top 9 contestants play the ultimate game of chicken! The winner from last night’s Immunity Challenge watches from above as the remaining contestants battle it out for the remaining
8 spots. There’s no time to be complacent, it’s time to get creative. Expect chilli popcorn chicken, chicken balantine, chicken tacos and more tasty treats on the menu. Sadly, this challenge brings two contestants undone and they are sent home – but not empty handed. Both leave with money for their charity.

Thursday 9 August 7.00pm

MasterChef welcomes the legends of Australian baking, the Country Women’s Association [CWA], to the MasterChef Kitchen. Challenged to bake one of eight different cakes using recipes created by the CWA, the All Stars know the ladies, standards are high, and they need to be at the top of their game if they are to win this challenge. The mouth-watering desserts have everyone licking the bowl, but who will be deemed the tastiest and take home the $5000 prize for their charity?

At least they all leave with some money for charity. Not everyone has made money for their charity yet.
