Previous Episode: Big Brother Australia Season Nine – Ava Finally Enters
Ava’s creating a few dramas, but it’s not her fault! She and Estelle are getting along famously, and its rattling a few of the housemates. How does all this go down?
DAY 31, 7.59AM: Ava is waking up from her first night’s sleep in the house. George and Ray wonder how she is fitting in. Zoe comes to the diary room and talks about how gorgeous she is and how she is bonding with Estelle. Outside in the bathroom, Estelle and Ava are bonding! Zoe thinks that Ava is just someone else for Estelle to annoy.
Ray soon comes to the diary room to talk about how great Ava is. In the bathroom, Angie, Stacey and Layla are talking about why Estelle and Ava have formed a solid relationship. Layla thinks Estelle may actually be the normal one, and now a normal person has come in, they’ve bonded.
11.52AM: It’s time for today’s captain’s quarter’s challenge.
Captain’s Quarter’s Challenge: Boy/girl teams will face questions. One member of one team must wear a helmet filled with crickets while a member of another team must correctly answer quick fire questions. Such questions include ‘How do you speak in a New Zealand accent’ and ‘What is Big Brother’s middle name?’
Michael and Zoe win this week’s captain’s challenge and exclusive access to HMAS BB tonight. Michael trying to get in the hot tub is hilarious. Meanwhile, Angie is annoyed that another week has gone by and she’s not in the quarters.
I have to say, watching Estelle and Ava on the couches, Estelle’s friendship with Ava seems very forced and cheesy. Josh’s reactions spell it all.
2.41PM: Some of the housemates are STILL discussing Ava! Still, it’s better than them discussing who’s hooking up with who. Bradley is weirded out at how they are BFF’s after 24 hours. Josh is annoyed as he wants to ‘get in there’ and ‘make ground work’.
3.17PM: Zoe is having a snooze. Josh, Layla, Angie, Stacey and Bradley are in the kitchen being honest about each other! All of a sudden, water buffalo Josh and elephant Estelle are made to re-enact a scene for this week’s wildlife documentary task. They must put their heads in a trophy wall until further notice. They use this time to talk things over.
The other housemates use this time to get to know Ava. Stacey thinks Estelle should be a hog, not an elephant. WOW, different side to Stacey this week. But when Estelle is freed from the wall, she spends more time with Ava, annoying Angie and Bradley further.
6.24PM: Layla is yet to have had a conversation with Ava and believes it is because of Estelle. Why can’t Layla speak to both Ava and Estelle?! All of a sudden, Bradley the cheetah must get into task mode.
Meanwhile, Angie isn’t feeling well and when she goes for medication in the diary room, Big Brother has a chat to her about Ava. She doesn’t ‘want to go next week and be replaced’.
Meanwhile, George calls Layla Ava, which is apparently the best thing Josh has ever heard.
9.17PM: We find out the parlour/ man cave has been turned into ‘the Chat Room’ where housemates may go and chat and enjoy a coffee or two at Big Brother’s discression. As this week’s captain’s quarter’s runners up, Stacey and Benjamin are granted access.
Meanwhile, the captain’s quarter’s tenants are granted a screening of Midnight in Paris.
When Stacey and Benjamin go into the chat room (where Stacey proceeds to cut up all the cake in the room), the housemates are AGAIN nervous they have left the house! Benjamin and Stacey decide they don’t like Ava as she isn’t opening up in an open environment like Big Brother.
11.17PM: Talk turns to the hidden chocolate stashes around the house. Meanwhile, Josh goes to one of them and takes some chocolate for everyone.
When Benjamin and Stacey are released from the Chat Room, Benjamin goes to the diary room to talk about how awesome Stacey is.
When Estelle goes into bed, Stacey, Layla and Benjamin begin bitching about her just across the room! God, this is just bloody ridiculous! Do these people know what they sound like?
