Previous Episode: Big Brother Australia Season Nine – Delilah Enters The House
Delilah’s been in the house for a day now; but how has her presence shaped the house dynamics?
Day 44, 7.51AM: Delilah wakes up to her first full day in the house. She runs to Zoe, who is supposed to be her guardian.
Last night, Michael burnt Layla’s rollers as a task given to him by Surly. He actually burnt all of them and her designer bag they came in! That wasn’t a part of the task. Oh dear! Michael comes to the diary room. He feels terrible. All Michael got was shampoo, and the housemates quickly assume Michael burnt the rollers. This lot are good at guessing this sort of stuff.
Afterwards, it is time for this week’s task. It’s The Factory where housemates must work on long, gruelling tasks. The factory is split into eleven rooms for each housemate to work in. The secret is, only one housemate will undergo the gruelling jobs set by Big Brother. The rest will secretly leave the factory and have fun. I don’t know if this task has ever been done before in Australia, but this task was first used on Big Brother UK 2005. This is basically a complete carbon copy- although the rooms look horrible (a good horrible).
9.29AM: Sam is given the title of ‘worker 1’ and is the sorry soul who has to work. The rest of the housemates are in the backyard enjoying the numerous entertainment facilities Big Brother has provided. Passing this task is simple; don’t let Sam catch them out.
Big Brother then leads the housemates to one of the rooms as the party facilities are taken down and the housemates are allowed to disguise their party going ways with manure!
In the bathroom afterwards, Josh apologises for telling Estelle to shush up when she was having a bit too much fun during their party. She breaks down and Benjamin gives her a pep talk. Outside, Josh and Michael think she secretly hates everyone and just has a go at people as part of a game. Michael hates her because when he was trying to clear up why a racist joke he said was wrong, Estelle criticised him for repeating it.
5.23PM: We find out the housemates will be tasked to finding Delilah a new home by choosing a family for her to live with out of a number of pre-selected families. Benjamin thinks Delilah is good for Zoe as it provides her with a nice companion.
In the bedroom, Layla reveals to Zoe she plans to leave the house single and ready to mingle.
Today, the housemates will play in the next captain’s quarter’s challenge. Hm, don’t they do this on Thursdays?
Captain’s Quarter’s Challenge: One team member must hold a board on their head as the other team member tries to balance as many blocks on it as possible.
Estelle and Ava go first and get a score of 8. Next up are Stacey and Benjamin. They score an 18. Michael and Bradley score 11 after throwing the challenge. Zoe and Angie score 15. Sam and Layla grab 19 blocks.
Winners: Sam & Layla
Benjamin is now the only housemate to have never set foot in the captain’s quarters. Apparently, during the storm last night, pirates raided HMAS BB. It has been turned into a hell hole. They will have to brave the elements outside and live off basic rations. The other housemates get to watch their reactions on screen.
4.12PM: Hmm, we’ve jumped back in time! In the lounge, the housemates continue to speculate about Layla’s rollers. The housemates have moved on from Michael and onto some weird conspiracy theories; like vandals jumping the roof. Ava makes a comment in front of Michael about rather walking over destroying personal belongings.
Later, Bradley reveals to Zoe he is glad Sam is enduring the HMAS BB. Meanwhile, Ava gets in trouble for not wearing her microphone AGAIN. She’s upset and feels this is not fair. She is not happy and heads to the diary room to cry. She feels she is finally being viewed as a housemate and this has put a dampener on her day.
Michael heads to the diary room. He thinks Ava is silly and shouldn’t be in the house any more. I’d call him bitchy; but I agree with her- all she does is go away with Josh to kiss him all the time.
Later, Benjamin goes to Michael to say it doesn’t look good for Michael for complaining about Ava for basically hogging Josh. Benjamin doesn’t feel Michael is in a position to act judge and jury on who should be allowed to stay in the house. No, because everyone is in the house on their own merit- even though Ava’s only merit seems to be sucking face.
The nominees begin to prepare this week’s French themed family dinner. In the lounge room, Josh is mimicking Estelle’s rapping. Bradley and Stacey dance along.
7.07PM: Sam and Layla are not happy with the amount of food available in HMAS BB. The housemates sit down to the family dinner and discuss whether offensive jokes are funny. This gives Estelle an opportunity to confront Michael over the ‘racist’ joke he told. Despite clarification, Estelle thinks Big Brother is not the forum for such stuff.
8.51PM: Housemates are still having dinner. The housemates question whether Ava is famous. Ava then later explains to the nominees her status in the music industry. The housemates begin hurling food over the fence for them. Estelle is cooking chicken for Layla and Sam. Not everyone is happy about it.
Big Brother later reprimands them. Ava is sent to the naughty corner for not wearing her microphone before. She is made to count thousands and thousands of five cent coins. Also, for throwing food over the wall, Angie and Benjamin are asked to go and stay in Delilah’s dog house until further notice.
1.19AM: Benjamin and Angie are still in the dog house. Delilah, Zoe and Estelle are still talking about the rollers. Estelle thinks Sam did it. Angie and Benjamin are soon released from the dog house.
In the lounge, Ava is still going with the coins. Estelle comes to the diary room to discuss why Ava has taken her punishment seriously but Benjamin and Angie did not. Estelle puts it down to personality and time in the house. Ava is soon released from the naughty corner. Layla and Sam are asleep, as are the rest of the housemates…and Delilah.
