Nine have started running promos suggesting that Survivor: Philippines is coming soon to the network.
This season of Survivor, which is set to premiere in the US today (Sept 19 night US time), will feature three tribes instead of the usual two with three returning contestants representing each tribe.
Given Nine’s treatment of the previous season of Survivor (One World) – which aired months after it did in the US – this can only come as good news to fans.
Looking ahead at Nine’s schedule, the likely airdate could possibly be Tuesday October 2, 9.30pm. Close to two weeks after the US premiere, but still better than what happened last season.
Meanwhile, Seven are set to fast track The Amazing Race, this year with a record $2 million prize money for the winner. Possible airdate maybe Thursday October 4
