Previous Episode: Big Brother Australia Season Nine – The Big Lie Revealed!
Not sure what the whole ‘Superstar’ thing is all about, I think this episode is just a highlights package of the long weekend- but here it is!
DAY 47, 9.03AM: Housemates (including Delilah) are woken up by music. Tonight, Big Brother will be trying to find a superstar with a talent show. Josh and Ava will have to compose a song, Bradley and Angie will be magicians, Estelle and Zoe will be a circus act, Benjamin and Stacie will dance, Sam and Layla will have to act out the Romeo & Juliet balcony scene and Michael will host.
Bradley practices his disappearing act by hiding in the barbeque. Angie and Josh talk eviction but Josh wants to keep quiet on it.
2.17PM: Angie and Bradley practice their magic tricks for real while Layla learns all about the family Montague. Later that night, the Big Brother talent show begins with each act taking the stage. Benjamin and Stacey are first. Can’t say they’re the best dancers- but they’re certainly humorous.
6.32PM: Ava and Josh are next. Michael compares the two to John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Hilarious. Next are Sam and Layla. Next up then are Angie and Bradley who are just brilliant! Lastly, Estelle and Zoe begin their clown act. They seem to excite Delilah. Estelle taking a cream pie to the face was quietly amusing.
Later, Angie tries to tell a story but people keep interrupting her and she loses it. Bahah at Stacey’s pisstake.
The next day, there’s a big clean-up bill! Bradley tries to make him and Angie ‘the third couple’ in the house. Angie isn’t having a bar of it. Michael and Josh don’t help clean up, annoying Sam. Layla goes to the diary room to request nail polish remover as the state of the housemates’ nails is driving her insane.
To get some, Layla needs to do something. She gathers the housemates to tell them of her salon idea, Salon a la Layla. The housemates then take it in turns to convince Big Brother why it would be a good idea.
Later, Angie and Josh plan to throw eggs if she is evicted. Angie wants to see tears on the housemate’s faces on the next episode she watches.
2.07PM: Stacey, Benjamin, Michael and Bradley pretend to be art critics in a museum. They are brilliant. This is what we need more of in our daily shows! Features they critique range from the relaxation area, to the wall garden, to showering Josh. Michael then goes to the diary room to hope that Josh doesn’t become an emo if Ava is evicted. He has never seen two people make out as much as them. I EFFFFFFFFFFFFING agree!
The housemates then talk about this Sunday’s eviction. Ahh, but hang on, WHAT Sunday eviction? They haven’t found out yet- and they won’t…until Sunday! Josh seems to insinuate he may form a relationship with a ‘burner’ female intruder. He then says he wouldn’t before laughing about it.
Housemates are told about their next task.
Weekly Task: Big Brother has given the housemates $1000 which they MUST spend. This task was recently used on Celebrity Big Brother UK 10 in August this year. Housemates will be provided opportunities to complete tasks and purchase products in exchange for a small fee.
The first thing they do is eat brain; $10 a pop! They also have a phone in which they can purchase stuff over. Bradley is offered a mankini.
Later, Michael gets angry when people cut pork when it is in the foil. Benjamin dobs Angie in for cutting the foil. Michael gets annoyed (but half-comically) and Angie claims he has ruined her last day in the house.
Later on, Layla agrees to purchase a gypsy wedding dress. She didn’t know it was a gypsy one, weighing in at over 40kg.
That night, Michael and Angie apologise over pork-gate. Bradley thanks Estelle for giving him confidence. Josh obviously thanks Ava. Oh, I see, they’re thanking each other for stuff coz they think there’s an eviction that night! How wrong they are! Big Brother gives them their suitcases as well!
The housemates sense something is different tonight as no eviction crowd can be heard. Housemates begin to think a disaster has occurred causing Nine to cancel the show. They’re correct, as the disaster that is the NRL Grand Final has delayed the eviction. Sorry, Eastern States, had to do it!
Night falls as housemates continue to wait for the call for the eviction. They still wonder who will be going. I guess there will still be an eviction. Big Brother calls them to the couch…only to tell them that in their eviction attires, they will be offered a $10 deduction in their budget for the task for every housemate who jumps in the pool. Josh does it and Ava is annoyed he jumped in the pool with her singlet. Josh later apologises.
When housemates realise there can’t be an eviction, they decide to disband. Sam and Layla celebrate with a kiss.
