I may or may not have just wet my pants a little over this one…
Big Brother will be undertaking a blast from the past of sorts this week by re-introducing ex-housemates to the Dreamworld compound as part of this week’s ‘unexpected guests’ task.
This week, housemates have been told to ignore any intruder that enters the house. So far, imitators, the world’s strongest man and friends and family have entered to try and distract the housemates from a luxury shopping budget next week. The latter took place, quite emotionally might I add, during tonight’s nominations show.
But when Big Brother brings back past housemates, he aint skimping out! The list of returnees is full of Big Brother A-Listers including Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and former winners, 2003′s Regina Bird and 2004′s Trevor Butler.
And if a current poll being displayed on the official website is anything to go by, BB05′s Vesna and Tim, BB01′s Peter and BB02′s Nathan will also be apart of the mix. The most recent (and I use that term loosely) winner of Big Brother, Terri Munro, could also appear. She helped out during this year’s housemate hunt. A return for Munro is unlikely if that poll is anything to go by though.
But don’t get your hopes up too high. Due to the nature of the task, the ex-housemate’s influence on the game, and the air time dedicated to them, will likely be minimal.
However one thing I, and many other fans I am sure, have found missing from Big Brother over the years is a lack of dedication to the season’s past. I believe this twist is one that has yet been left untouched and it is so good to see Nine celebrating all things Big Brother despite only having aired one season of the show so far.
