Previous Episode: The X Factor Australia Season Four – Which Lacklustre performer will leave?
Can the charm of the ‘80s be injected in the final eight, and wipe out all memory of last week’s performances?
Luke talks to the judges about what the ‘80s meant to the judges. He then touches on the stabbing of Lazy J, a performer who nearly made it onto the 2010 series of the show. It’s now time for the performances.
Jason Owen

Judges’ Comments: Mel didn’t like it as the setting looked bogan, and she didn’t feel the reggae. Ronan gets what Mel was saying as it didn’t work for him. Natalie loved how he got his guns out and disagrees with the others- it was chilled and relaxed.
Fourtunate

Judges’ Comments: Natalie says it was so nice to hear their vocals and says they blended really beautifully. Guy thought it was very cool and really loved the first half of the performance. Guy calls them great singers. Mel loved the song choice and said their voice was beautiful. There was not one thing she didn’t like.

Judges’ Comments: Bella breaks down after her song for some reason. Guy doesn’t know what she’s upset about because the performance was brilliant. It’s his most favourite thing she’s done. Mel says she did a great performance as well. She isn’t sure about the dress, though. Both Natalie and Mel have given her a hug at this point. Ronan jokes that he was going to give her a hard time before she cried before saying her performance was brilliant.
Samantha Jade
Singing: You Can’t Hurry Love by The Supremes A’ Go-Go
Judges’ Comments: Mel thought it was a bit cheesy and wanted something edgier. Ronan agrees- it was a good performance, but they want more. Natalie doesn’t think she could have gone any more modern and loved it.
