The X Factor Australia Season Four – The Top Five Fight For Their Lives

Previous Episode: The X Factor Australia Season Four – The Top Six Dives To Five

There’s no margin for error. These guys must pull out all stops to get ahead. Will tonight be a shocker, or a dropper?

A chat from the judges is paramount for the first twenty hours of the show. Tonight, the OTHER judges pick songs for acts that are not their own.

Shiane Hawke

Singing: A Thousand Years by Christina Perry (Picked by Guy) A Thousand Years - The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Pt. 1 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Judges’ Comments: Guy asks if she enjoyed it and she did. Mel enjoyed her performance and thought she looked lovely. Ronan thought she did the best she could do.

The Collective

Singing: Beauty & The Beat by Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj (picked by Mel) Beauty and a Beat (feat. Nicki Minaj) - Believe (Deluxe Edition)

Judges’ Comments: Natalie thought they were committed to it and calls it sexy and current. Guy thinks they’ve picked up what was lost over the past couple of weeks. Mel wanted them to be current and sell their stuff. It was challenging but they nailed it!

Samantha Jade

Singing: What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger by Kelly Clarkson (picked by Natalie) Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) - Stronger (Deluxe Version)

Judges’ Comments: Mel says she’s right up there and enjoyed the performance, Ronan found the verse boring at the boring, but it picked up. Natalie says her voice is as good as Kelly’s.

Jason Owen

Singing: If Tomorrow Never Comes by Ronan Keating (picked by, you guessed it, Ronan!) If Tomorrow Never Comes - 10 Years of Hits

Judges’ Comments: Ronan says he sang the song beautifully and that it was right for him. Natalie laughed hard when she realised Ronan gave him a song of his own, but says it was one of his best performances. Guy would buy his album if it was full of that performance.

Bella Ferraro

Singing: Dreams by The Cranberries (picked by herself) Dreams - Stars - The Best of the Cranberries (1992-2002)

Judges’ Comments: Guy thinks she couldn’t have picked a better song. Amazing. Mel loves how unique it was. She calls it marvellous. Ronan loved the song and her performance despite the tough song.

How Shiane and Jason are still there kills me. I thought this was the worst ep ever. Bored me senseless. Samantha or The Collective for the title.
