America's Next Top Model

The last three models standing must be on point for the most important commercial and photo shoot yet. The two models that shine at the shoot will remain and compete in a pivotal runway show for the judges.

The final two glide down a cavernous catwalk in couture bridal gowns like true top models. At one point during the show, a mishap occurs between the competitors, causing one last catfight to erupt.

Then the tears flow when the judges crown 'America's Next Top Model'.

Friday October 10 2008, 7:30pm

7.30pm Friday/ OCTOBER 2

In Barcelona the model's nerves are wearing thin. After a flamenco photo challenge, one girl breaks down in tears when her dancing is criticised.

In unlikely pairs, the models float in a pool of icy water as Tyra Banks directs their photo shoot. One girl must bow out of the shoot early as hypothermia begins to set in.

7.30pm Friday/ SEPTEMBER 5

This week America's Next Top Model get's even sexier as burlesque entertainer Dita Von Teese and love god Fabio give the girls a crash course in the art of seduction.

First up, Dita Von Teese teaches the models the fundamentals of being sexy by giving each girl a prop with which they must perform a seductive dance.

The following day the models must put their sexy skills to the test as they strut down a dining room table / catwalk at an exclusive Elite Model Management party. A lot of the girls struggle with the unique challenge but one girl excels and wins a photo shoot in 'Seventeen' magazine.

6.30pm sunday / AUGUST 17

This week the girls take a crash course in interviewing celebrities from Mark Stein, a reporter on America’s most popular entertainment news program “Entertainment Tonight". The next evening their interviewing skills are put to the test as they each are challenged to act as real Entertainment Correspondents and interview Janice Dickinson at a red carpet event. Who can handle the loud and obnoxious Janice? It quickly becomes apparent that only a few can and she leaves some of the models speechless.

The celebrity theme continues at the photo shoot when each girl is assigned a celebrity couple to portray. They each participate in two shoots, posing as both the male and female celebrity - Brad and Angelina, J Lo and Marc Anthony, Demi and Ashton. While most of the girls have fun, one struggles to embody the celebrity attitude and is eliminated from the competition.

6.30pm sunday / AUGUST 10

This week the models learn to strike an extreme editorial pose with the help of a contortionist.

After some intense training, the girls appear as art installations at the launch of a new fashion line, where they must strike some dramatic couture poses for extended periods of time. Modelin- the-making Megg says, " Everyone was trying to be serious and make these model faces. It cracked me up."

The following day the girls are taken to the circus, where Jay assigns them each a circus character to portray in their photo shoot. Far from glamorous, the girls are assigned Giant Woman, Cannibal, Bird Lady, Rubber Girl and Bearded Lady and struggle to feel comfortable within their roles. Can they make these ugly characters 'fierce' or will it be the end of their Top Model dream?

6.30pm sunday / AUGUST 3

It's make over time for the model wannabes and the girls aren't too happy about it! Tyra, Jay and Miss J surprise the models with the news and announce they will be 'made over' by beauty guru Frederic Fekkai. Tears and tantrums follow when one model has a meltdown over her new hair cut, but they all must embrace their new look if they are to compete in a fast-paced make up challenge judged by celeb guest Queen Latifah.

One model then returns to the house a sore loser and causes a huge fight that amps up the competition for a "hair wars" photo shoot the next day. In this shoot the models are fitted with extravagant hair weaves and must prove that the hair style doesn't overshadow them. Who will when the battle of the hair wars? It's not who you think.

7.30pm MONDAY / AUGUST 4

Judge and runway expert Miss J surprises the girls with a unique runway exercise to teach them posture and balance - asking them to walk a wide tightrope!

Their balancing act is put to the test the next day when Miss J challenges then to strut their stuff across broken slabs of concrete in high heels while wearing masks that impair their vision. While some girls throw caution to the wind and strut the catwalk with confidence, some fall flat - literally. The lucky winner of the challenge and two friends then jet off to work a star-studded fashion show with some past seasons' Top Models.

The following day, Jay reveals that this week's photo shoot will take place over water on a tilted runway. But which difficult diva refuses to participate and will this spell the end of her Top Model dream?

7.30pm MONDAY / JULY 28

Tonight the claws come out as the girls are sent to a runway competition were they have to use clothing from a local designer. Testing both their runway walks and ability to style themselves, the girls have to choose their clothes off the backs of 13 male models, then feminise and wear the outfit down the runway. The winner of this challenge wins the chance to be "Diva for the Day" on the set of their next photo shoot.

At the fashion magazine-inspired house, it is cat fights aplenty when the contestants discover there are only 11 beds! One model who does not get a bed, pours water on another girls bed and pretends that she peed on it to ensure she had somewhere comfortable to sleep!

6.30pm sunday / JULY 27

Tyra Banks returns for Season 7 with a fresh new crop of model wannabe's, ready to battle it out for the catwalk crown. In this episode, part one of the season premiere, girls from across the United States, desperate to win the title, arrive in Los Angeles. The 21 semifinalists are immediately put to work in a controversial photo shoot. The girls are shocked to find that they must pose nude!

Some of the girls jump at the chance to strip off while the other more conservative girls struggle between their ambition and upbringing. Will baring all get them through to next round? With such a high standard the judges struggle to make a decision and decide to put through 13 girls to the final instead of the usual 12.

HE GIRL WHO WALKED THROUGH THE ANCIENT CITY - Series 6, Episodes 11&12

SEASON FINALE!

Tonight, in a double episode finale special, the final four models are in Thailand where they meet Thai Designer Pichita Rucksajit. They are tasked with travelling by 'tuk tuk' (a Thai taxi) to meet and impress local designers. The girls then fly to Phuket where Tyra gives them a lesson about the region's culture and local history which includes the 2004 Tsunami. Later the girls hit the beach for a photo shoot with Nigel Barker, modelling Op bikinis to appear in a spread in ElleGirl magazine.

Next it’s down to 3 girls who are required to shoot a CoverGirl commercial which one girl struggles with. In the end, it’s a runway challenge through an ancient city which will reveal this season's America's Next Top Model!

THE GIRL WHO IS RUSHED TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM
Series 6, Episode 10

This week the models go to Thailand where the competitors are required to perform an intricate Thai dance taught to them by Thai classical dancer Petra Sriwaranon and Thai professor of dance Sirithon Srichalakom. Later the models are transported via elephant to the middle of the jungle where they must pose on top of it! One model becomes very irritated when another copies her poses, while another contestant is rushed to the emergency room.

7.30PM THURSDAY / JANUARY 24

THE GIRL WHO IS A MODEL, NOT A MASSEUSE - Season 6, Episode 9

Public Relations expert Rachel McCallister pays a visit to the models to coach them on how to handle a tough interview. After their coaching session with Rachel, the models' new skills are put to the test when interviewer and Vanity Fair contributor George Wang stops by. After the interviewing session the girls get some exciting news! They are about to travel overseas to attend a fashion show.

After arriving at their overseas location the winners of an earlier challenge are treated to luxury spa treatments and are pampered by the losers. The next challenge take place at a floating market where in this unusual photo shoot the girls must hang upside down like freshly captured mermaids.

7.30PM MONDAY / JANUARY 21

THE GIRL WHO HAS SURGERY
- Season 6, Episode 8
The girls learn about the harsh side of modelling and are then tested on how well they can handle harsh criticisms. As one model must go through a difficult surgery, two lucky girls receive a surprise visit from someone from home.

Janice Dickinson returns along with Series 3 winner Eva Pigford on the set of a photo shoot for ElleGirl magazine and designer MarcEcko. Then Tyra directs the models in a black and white photo shoot where some of the girls burst into tears.

THE GIRL WHO HAS A TEMPER -
Season 6, Episode 7

As tension grows within the house and the stakes get higher, one girl loses her cool and blows up at one of her fellow house mates. Later Miss J. Alexander herself provides the girls with an improv runway lesson extending their slowly growing runway skills. Richard and Ron Harris, movement experts, step in and provide the girls with valuable swirl and twirl techniques to improve their walk on the runway.

Shortly after the girls have to bring out their 'krumping' skills. Getting the moves on while trying to gracefully model shoes isn’t easy for all yet with the help of famous dancer 'Tommy the Clown', slowly the girls start to show the judges what their ‘krumping' skills are really made of.

THE GIRL WITH TWO BAD TAKES - Season 6, Episode 6

After this week’s lesson in improvisation, the girls will be left with even more confidence.Their newly developed skills are put to the test when they are thrown into a Cover Girl commercial. They’re confidence isn’t so strong now! The girl who shows the strongest improv skills through this challenge wins a guest staring role on "Veronica Mars".

Following these exciting events some of the models prepare themselves to be involved in a public service announcement about HIV prevention in support of KNOW HIV/AIDS, a joint venture be-
tween CBS corporation and Viacom, in partnership with the Kaiser Family Foundation.
