Australian Idol Levi Kereama dead

Former Australian Idol star Levi Kereama has died after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Brisbane.
Kereama came sixth in the first season of Australian Idol but had success with his family band Lethbridge.
Kereama had just performed at the Parklife Festival in Brisbane on Saturday prior to his tragic fall and is believed to have been suffering from depression.
I heard about the death of Levi last night. Mum told me at dinner and I sat in shock for thirty seconds. I stood up to get a tissue, but couldn't get my head around it.
I'm not normally an R+B person, but I loved the way Levi interpreted and felt his music. He had a real ease about him when performing. You admire everyone on the show for their character and to see one of them go like this - a hero for young people - is just tragic. Horrible.
I heard Cosima de Vito being interviewed by Tim Brunero on a podcast -beautiful, touching tribute.
My sympathy goes out to his poor family - he had brothers, a father, a mother...brings it all back home.
