Thanh Bui's parents migrated from Vietnam, and from a young age, his natural talent was obvious. During auditions in Sydney, he could feel the pressure building up, but he won the crowd over with Beatles classic "Help". He said "Singing and music are a part of my DNA". He sang U2's song - One.

Amanda Grafanakis sells fashion for a living, and has experience playing with a band. She blew her auditions in the Top 100 because of nerves, even though she had the band behind her. She said she's doing what she loves doing. She sang the Pink song "Who Knew".

Natalie Colavito is a retail asistant at Best & Less. She crashed out of the Top 100 in last years Australian Idol, and said it was because oof her lack of self esteem. She sang a Beyonce song from the movie Dreamgirls - Listen.

Tom Williams is the youngest of this years top 24. When he was 15 months old he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and couldn't perform in sports, and that was when he became interested in music. Tonight he performed Josh Groban - You Raise Me Up.

17 year old Brooke Wilkie from Rockingham splits her time between stand up comedy and her day job as a pharmacy assistant. She sang the Paolo Nutini song "New Shoes", but struggled because she had lost her voice. Towards the end she seemed like she just wanted it to be over, and was holding her throat.

Luke Dickens said he was surprised that he had gotten this far. With his easygoing nature, he hit sydney and got on with the job at hand, with a big booming voice and honest performances. He sang Wilson Pickets "Mustang Sally" in his red and black "Smet" shirt. He seemed very happy with his performance.
