So last nights show was a bit of a let down. A couple of contestants really let the side down with songs that didn't come close to representing the rock genre. Others however gave some reasonable performances.

If anyone was acting like angry rock stars last night, it was the judges. There weren't any fisty cuffs but there were some heated exchanges and disagreements about their thoughts on the performances. My favourite line of the night was Dicko's reference to Matt Corby's performance which he thought was like a Mr G production at Summer Heights High.

(side note. does anyone else find Carl Risely a rambler? He seems very nervous whenever anyone speaks to him and just goes on and on and on)

The idols had their first public appearance this week at the Ronald McDonald Children's Charities event and perform Kids before they get to meet Leo Sayer.

Anthony Callea performs and sings Undiscovered. Anthony is a star. I'm surprised they haven't released anything of his in the US or UK yet.

The top 11 perform Smoke on The Water and Andrew G is even getting involved whacking a cow bell with a drumstick.

The results finally arrive and Tarisai Vushe is safe. Mark Da Costa will also be here next week. Lana Krost is safe (does she have an allergic reaction tonight? Her eyes are quite puffy) but Marty Simpson isnt. Both Daniel Mifsud and Natalie Gauci are safe as well. Carl Risely is safe but Brianna Carpenter is in the bottom three. Matt Corby and Ben McKenzie will both be here next week while Jacob Butler's energetic performance wasn't enough to keep him out of the bottom three.

Kyle thinks that the mental institution has been voting overnight and isn't happy with the results. Marcia agrees but Dicko thinks it's fair but thought there should have been another in there to make a bottom four. Mark feels bad for Brianna.

Jacob Butler is safe for another week leaving Brianna and Marty to wait nervously. When the wait is finally over it's Brianna Carpenter is leaving but says it's certainly not the end for her. I can imagine we'll be hearing more from her.
