Tonight, the final three will perform for the chance at making it to the Sydney Opera House. Wes, Mark and Luke.

They'll each be performing two songs tonight. Any song that they want. Andrew and Mark assure us that this has been the closest competition since Australian Idol started.

Tina Arena Tina Arena has been coaching the final three this week and is in the studio to join the judging panel for the first time since the London auditions.

Tina has a new album out: Tina Arena - Songs of Love & Loss, Vol. 2 Songs of Love & Loss, Vol. 2

Here's what happened:

Luke Dickens
Stealers Wheel - Movies - Stuck In the Middle With You Stuck In The Middle With You

The rock zone continues tonight as Luke adds his karaoke touch to a classic song. His image seems to be starting to come together nicely though and he totally looks the part.

Mark Spano
Fuel - Something Like Human - Bad Day Bad Day

There is great energy in this song but it's just not coming across from Mark. The pitchiness isn't great either.

Wes Carr
Sweet Love - Smooth Soul Classics - Easy (Like Sunday Morning) Easy (Like Sunday Morning)

The harmonica was a nice touch.

Luke Dickens
Elton John - Rocket Man - I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues

Sitting on the stool was a nice start. It would have been better if the stool had been behind a piano. There doesn't really appear to be a connection this year and the young girls standing in the front row don't really look that into it.

Mark Spano
Santana & Rob Thomas - iTunes Originals - Rob Thomas - Smooth

Again, it was a little boring to me. What's with all the in jokes?

Wes Carr
The Silver Beatles - A Tribute to the Beatles - Get Back Get Back

Finally. A performance worth remembering. That was fantastic. Worthy of the touch down and Kyle's new "television throw".

Tomorrow night, my pick is that Mark Spano will be going home and Luke and Wes will be our two finalists.
