Twenty-seven-year-old Mark Spano comes from a very loud spaghetti-loving Italian family. For seven years, Mark fronted the originals band ‘The Need’. Close to making it in the independent music rounds, it all came to a sudden end when Mark lost his voice due to a polyp on his vocal chords. After two long years of recovery, Mark is now back on track and cannot wait to return to the stage.
Mark currently works as a labourer, lives in his home-town of Brighton, Melbourne with his two black cats, Sabbath and Sabbath (yes, for real) and drives an HJ ’76 panel van.

Just wondering where Mark got his black t-shirt from with virgin Mary on front worn when he sung Sex on fire. My husband loved it, he wants me to buy him one?

Just some trivia: Spanos
Last name origin & meaning:
Greek: descriptive nickname from Greek spanos ‘clean shaven’, ‘hairless’. In Greek this term is often compounded with a personal name, e.g. Spanovassilis ‘Basil the hairless’, Spanomanolis ‘Emanuel the hairless’, etc.
There are some famous Greeks in America and Greece with this surname, coincidentally, there is a Greek singer with this surname....maybe there is a distant geneology as southern Italy was/is inhabited by Greeks from the 8th century B.C.E.?

Mark is Paul's son, who is the son of the late Vin Spano of Brighton.

I've seen Mark playing and singing with his own band and i can tell you for sure that he is an undiscovered talent that deserves recognition. He writes and performs amazing songs and has the bonus of having a great voice. This kid should be signed up by a USA label.
