Born and bred in country Victoria, Sophie’s first live gig was when she was only fifteen years old. She was the lead singer of her brother’s band at The Pakenham Hotel. It was soon after when Sophie decided to save her hard-earned dosh working part time at the local servo and to move to London to make it as a star. She made it to London but didn’t quite become the star she had imagined. Not one to give up easily, she started performing her own songs at open-mic nights in London’s famous Notting Hill and Soho areas. Sophie’s musical inspirations are Ani DiFranco and Jewel and when she’s not singing or writing, she likes to go for long jogs or shoe shopping.
