Originally from Adelaide, Wes Carr has called the sunny beachside of Bondi home since he was 15. The talented muso started songwriting ten years ago and can play guitar, piano, harmonica and percussion. The 25-year-old started playing in pubs when he was 16 and now has regular resident gigs around Sydney. He has traveled Australia and to LA to work on his music and is hungry for a successful music career.
Good on ya Wes, you are the real deal, the total package and whilst I think Luke is great you edge him out in your ability to work your audience, both live and on TV -don't dare close your eyes!

To Wes, You're the real deal Wes. Even my fellow musicians friends, normally skeptical of Australian Idol, agree that you are ready to take on anything. I think it almost doesn't matter if you win, you will be snapped up anyway. Part of me hopes you'll win (yes, I voted), but part of me worries that if you do, they'll try and squeeze the uniqueness out of you. Don't let that happen. As a vocalist for a trio 'Lighthouse' I know that bottom line is, stay true and hope that people buy your records and come to see your shows. Well I promise you, win or lose, I'll be seeking out where you're gigging and come along and I'll drag along as many as I can. You are amazing, go forth and conquer!!
