Wes has also done it the hard way and worked his way up through hard times and sheer guts and hard work. Yes, Luke is very good and has done himself proud, but Wes has that extra quality that singles him out in a crowd and that quality is what will make him a superstar.
I thought Wes was better throughout the season, but Luke grew on me. Now I want him to win. Wes has gone downhill performance wise, and hasn't improved much, but Luke has made huge differences.
Wes has a very ordinary voice, and is quite flat and plain.
Luke has a very unique voice, and has a superb vulnerability in his voice, that is really amazing. He has much more potential.
As for the singles, both were catchy, but Luke's is much better. I've been singing it all week.
Wes will win, but Luke deserves too.

After seeing the results show on monday night and finding out about Wes having formed a band, released a cd etc, I definatly want Luke to win. I don't think Wes should have been in the show at all. I thought the show was for amatures, not pro's like Wes. Lets all get behind Luke and VOTE!!!!!
well i havent watched this season much but i do feel that Wes is better then Luke,,,,,,but they are both excellent (to say the least)!!!!! Go Wes n Luke! Shannon did it so can u guys!!!!
I would rather see Luke win, but Wes will take it out. And hey, back in Idol 1, it was the runner up who took all the glory of their record deal anyway
LUKE DICKENS.... what a ride..... a shearer from Young.... a new Dad... and now standing centre stage as one of the final 2 "Idols" singing an amazing new song.... (listen... no really listen to him singing these words and then tell me that it doesn't stir something emotive deep down inside of you...)
Everyone in the final 12 is good...we know that.... and I'm sure we'll hear more from many of them but... in the final analysis.... whilst I think Wes is cool and has a great ability.... Luke's got the edge for me....
I can listen to Luke's new song over and over without tiring, from the very 1st time I heard it.... unfortunately, Wes' new song just didn't cut it for me....
Luke's a winner anyway but I'd love to see him be this year's Australian Idol... I'm sure he would do his country proud....
I would hate to have to decide who to give the idol crown to.Luke is fantastic,down to earth and a great voice.Wes has just a little bit more to give than Luke.(i mean that in the nicest possible way.Congrats to both of them.I think we will hear a lot from both of the guys.
