No, none of us overlooked the fact that they're 'only 12', because by that age many people would be able to sing that well, if not, better. I do applaud her for her bravery for going onstage and actually entering the competition, but I just don't think that they deserved to win. It seems that it's the SINGING acts that are winning everything, and I have to say, singing is like any other instrument, and if Bonnie or Madeline played any other instrument, they would have been bagged out because their skill simply wouldn't have been good enough, but because it is singing (which some people think is harder than it really is) they were propelled to the final round, and won. They do have their whole life ahead of them, and they do have talent, it's just that there are more talented people than them.

If you still don't believe that people under 12 could sing that well, go onto Youtube - there are many <10 year old singers who are so much better.

I've read all the comments and what lots of people seem to have overlooked is the fact that both Bonnie and Madeline are just 12 years old! My Daughter competed in Australian Idol (Are you a natural) competition and was a semi finalist along with Madeline. As a parent watching your child under the proverbial microscope is daunting to say the least, imagine what it's like for them having to display themselves for scrutiny before the entire Australian public. Remember these kids have their whole life infront of them so rather than bagging them, aplaud them both for being the true little champions they are.It could be your baby, how would you like it? I think that anyone, with proper training, can sing as well as Bonnie, and even better - her notes were flat and her vibrato was a bit iffy. Her low notes weren't as clear as they should have been. I have a few friends who can sing as well as her, if not, better.

But Herb Patten and Max C? They're the ones that have talent. Playing music on a GUMLEAF can't be taught, and even some of the most accomplished pianists can't play as well as Max. I think they deserved to win this (Plus we have enough singing shows - X-Factor, Aussie Idol)

Seriously...Max has some truly AMAZING talent...and hes heaps cute too.

This show is a fake.
Both Bonnie and Madeline can't sing...I should know ...i sing myself. They were both flat and had very bad pitch. According to me they were just shouting. Anyway, The point of this show was to find uniquely Australian talent, which I think was shown in Herb's talent.
ps. I also reckon Max had heaps of talent and I dont get why he was voted off...hes cute too.

Madeline Perrone you are truely amazing > At only 12 yrs , u have shown star qualities from the word go. All 3 preformance on AGT were at a very high standard and surely the music industry will acknowledge and brace her . You have a strong voice and a very bright future ahead of you and not only in Australia but internationally. This is a start of a big future and solid music carear.

Australia has spoken, and has yet again been found wanting.
True, Bonnie is cute, the fact that most of her songs were pitchy (flat) seem to have been over looked, while Herb managed to stay perfectly in tune with nothing to assist him but a gum leaf!!! Come on Australia!!! How is this just? This is not an outcome based on who was the most deserving, not to mention how outrageous it is that the runner up appears to have won no prize at all while the dog guy (who was fabulous, but eliminated all the same) manages to win $25 000 despite not being a finalist. If the producers of this show have any respect for the integrity of the show's outcomes i implore them to at least give Herb the same prize as the 'dog guy'! It really is the least he deserves!!!
