Australia's Next Top Model
The claws have been sharpened and the backstabbing is about to commence as some of Australia’s most ambitious wannabe models embark on the runway ride of their lives.

Hosted by former model turned fashion designer and television presenter Jodhi Meares, AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL is the hit reality series that follows a group of young women as they try to prove they have what it takes to make it in the high-stress, high-stakes world of modelling.

Following a nationwide audition tour last year, which saw a record number of entrants, 13 young hopefuls aged 16 to 21 were selected to live together in a waterfront mansion and star in the fourth season of AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.

During the series, the finalists are transformed from attractive girls-next-door into potential working models, while navigating their way through various modelling assignments and tasks. The girls must demonstrate both inner and outer beauty as they learn to master complicated catwalks, intense physical fitness, fashion photo shoots and perfect publicity skills.

Meares leads the panel of judges including leading fashion designer Alex Perry and fashion identity Charlotte Dawson. Each week, the judges assess task performance and potential to narrow the field until just two remain. In addition, special guest judges will appear to critique within his or her area of expertise, along with the photographer from that week’s shoot.

Aside from the stress of learning the ropes of the business, the finalists also have to deal with the ups and downs of ‘model house’ life: all the tears, tantrums and high drama you’d expect when you put 13 competitive and hugely ambitious girls under one roof!

The series will culminate in a massive LIVE finale later this year, and viewers will once again be able to vote to help decide who should be crowned AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL. The winner will take home a prize package including representation for 12 months by premiere model agency Priscilla’s; an all expenses paid trip to New York to meet with top international agencies; a Ford Fiesta Zetec; a contract as the face of Napoleon Perdis which includes an international photo shoot; and an eight-page fashion feature with Vogue Australia.

Produced by Granada Productions for FOXTEL, AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL is subscription television’s highest rating general entertainment series, with last year’s season (#3) smashing all previous viewing records.

Jodhis' GREAT!

To Jodhi,
When I first heard that you would be hosting Australia's Next Top Model, I thought, "Hello! another "Packer Promotional" sigh.

Everyone has preferences of who they find appealing as presenters, favorite actors etc. This is only mine.

The previous host I wasn't crazy on visually, her way of speaking & body language to me gave off a "I'm way above you, all" as she talked to the Hopefuls of becoming the next Aussie Top Model.
I actually felt angry after watching each episode.

It also interests me in what is happening in Australia Model Agencies, where model agencies tastes lay in as far as models go, wonder if there's a "true chance" to become a model or you can only get in with a "chance" because "the you" is privy to the "In the know" sect.

I was impressed with the fact that another model agency was to be apart of the series you were to host.

My reason being that it wouldn't be "one eyed" from having the same model agency again & again.

Also different agencies, open up the doors of an agency who see a model in that different eye, therefore giving more girls the opportunity of having a chance at their dream.
Yet could hold on their books that unique person you are looking for who could well be the very Next Top Model of Australia who will knock the world off their feet.

You, Jodhi, had the "pull" of me wanting not to miss the next episode, even marked it on a calender as a reminder (lol)

People often talk about "the girl next door".
These have many meanings, but for me "looks" not being the be all and end all of that saying, but also that unique quality of a caring person who is community minded, one who not only cares for friends but people in general. (it shows in their eyes)

As I watched and listened to you with how you approached each girl who was a contender in your series,
In your voice, eyes and mannerisms, I felt, you felt for each girl. When you had to deliver some news to them that would be their elimination you showed tenderness & compassion for that girl.

Yet also during the show watching how you encouraging them, if at times you had to be firm, to get through to them (showing your strength of guiding)to learn all from the professional people involved in the show, who could guide them in taking the next steps to reach their dream.

Your kindness showed.

I'm so pleased to hear that once again you will be hosting the next series of Australia's Next Top Model.(big smile)

My wish for you is that you keep "grounded" & that the "web of who's who" doesn't spin it's evil web and change you.

I only have one problem:
I can't find the date it will be on foxtel. Sad

Good Luck & keep up being you.

PS:
Do other people really like all that drama & bitchiness that goes on with the girls?

Do models who do this for a living, really act like this?

I find it sends the wrong message to our young of how they should act in the real world. A generation I guess will show the results.

Sure wish they could either think of a new adjective or buy a dictionary to search for a new word to replace the "f" word a lot of them use excessively.

IS THERE A BIT OF FAVOURATISM GOING ON? - HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I HEARD THE PHRASE "THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE DEMELZA"? - SHE SHOULD HAVE GONE AGES AGO - EVERYONE IN OUR -GROUP/WORK/FRIENDS- THINKS SHE IS A NASTY PIECE OF WORK - SHE CONTRADICTS HERSELF BY SAYING THE OTHERS ARE NASTY AND THEN SHE TURNS AROUND AND DOES EXACTLY WHAT SHE HAS BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT! IF SHE IS THIS BAD AT 16 I HATE TO THINK WHAT SHE WILL BE LIKE IN 5 TO 10 YEARS - COME ON - JUDGES (one in particular) COMMON SENSE AND FIAR PLAY - WE THE AUDIENCE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE PERFECT BODY SHAPE FOR A MODEL - IF SHE IS NOT OFF THIS WEEK WE ARE NOT WATCHING ANYMORE BECAUSE WE FEEL THAT TELEVISION SHOULD NOT BE TEACHING THE YOUNG THAT PEOPLE WHO DO THE WRONG THING GET REWARDED.
