Alex is sad to see Caris leaving but she's not too sad once she realises that she's joing Demelza and Sam that they're heading to the Big Apple.

Arriving in New York the girls are stoked to see yellow taxis and the empire state building. They're finding it all a little surreal. The hotel they're staying at is called The Alex and they're staying in the penthouse suite. They love New York.

Demelza pushes her way to the rooms and picks the best room and bed. Samantha has the king bed while Alex shares the room with her and has a single bed in the corner. Alex wants to just share the bed with Samantha but she's not interested in that at all.

Demelza is happy to not be sharing a room with Sam as she's somewhat scared of her.

Jodhi wakes up the girls who are a little jet lagged still. She tells them that today they would be potentially be meeting their New York agent.

They're doing go sees with their portfolio. Alex is feeling terrible after the long traveling. They're all worried about meeting the agencies and are hoping they see in them what the Australian judges do.

Kwok Chan from Marilyn Agency tells that they're a very exclusive agency and that they only take on about 10 girls. He thought Demelza was beautiful but she was also a bit dumb. Kwok liked how people had retouched Samantha. Kwok really liked Alex and thought she was very fashionable with real potential.

Next up is "Pink" Greg Francis from MC² Model Management. They're looking for very strong, confident and beautiful women. Jean Luc Brunel impresses Sam. The think Sam is quite sellable in the US. They not too keen on Alex and don't think she'd do too well. They like Demelza but think that she needs to lose weight. They add that Demelza has horrible, horrible legs and her "36" measurement is going to haunt her.

The final stop is Elite Models where they meet Roman Young, one of the team at the high fashion agency. Neal Hamil says that they're only interesting in the cream off the top. They really liked Alex and think she could really work well in New York. They think Samantha has the most amazing body and label it perfect. Neal thinks Demelza is devastatingly beautiful. They too pick Demelza's body. She finds it difficult but has done what she can to do something about it. Alex laughs that she has never broken a sweat the entire time she's been in the competition. Neal would like Alex's personality, Sam's body and Demelza's face for the world's perfect model.

A bell boy brings some Jodhi Mail. Sam takes the mail, thanks him but offers no tip.

The girls meet Malan Breton with Jodhi for their next task. The girls are getting stressed about the calibre of people coming to the show to see them model. The music starts and Sam takes to the parade walk. As she takes to the floor she notices that last year's winner, Alice is in the audience. Alex really struggles with her walking in the shoes she has. They all loved the moment at the end when they get to stand with Malan at the end of the show.

After the show, Jodhi declares that she definitely has a front runner for the show. She meets the girls with Alice who offers some advice from her experience.

Tomorrow the girls will be shooting their first real international photoshoot. Jodhi tells them that this shoot will be judged to the final two.

In the morning, they head to an apartment where they discover that it's Napolean Perdis'. While the girls are getting their makeup done, Demelza gets asked some tricky questions about the other girls why they are in the room. Samantha seems to be getting picked on a little.

At the shoot they're pretty happy to see their own air conditioned trailer. The photographer is Antoine Verglas. During the shoot, Alex trips and scratches her wrist and has the door of the taxi stab her in the chest. She works through it though.

Demelza has the crew wanting to change her outfit which Alex thinks is a bit hard. Sam is not feeling as collected as she could have been after Demelza came back early and she had to rush to her shoot. Despite her telling Napolean that her confidence had been sorted, her lack of it shows through in Samantha's shoot. She's a little upset about it afterwards.

Sam feels it was unfair that Demelza had a second chance for her shoot and thinks she could have done a lot better if she'd had a second chance as well.

A NY Policeman stops the girls on the street interrupting their enjoyment of the big city lights in Time Square. He hands them Jodhi Mail which reminds them that it's game on and that there is about to be an elimination.

Back in Australia, the judges are joined by Grant Kidd and Jonathan. At the judging, Alex is handed the first lifeline and makes it into the final two. Joining her is Demelza meaning Sam is just missing out.
