8:15am – Sunday, July 31 on ABC2

Based on the books by Anne Gutman and Georg Hallensleben, Gaspard and Lisa is a 48 x 11 minute animated series following the charming adventures of two puppies who are best friends as they experience the wonders and challenges of school, family life and their Paris neighbourhood.

Gaspard and Lisa do everything together and, although they may sometimes disagree or their plans don’t work out the way they’d like, they are always there for each other as that’s what friends are for.

Episode 3, Victoria’s New Wallpaper – Sunday, July 31 at 8.15am on ABC 4 Kids Lisa’s father is putting up new wallpaper in her older sister Victoria’s room.

But this means Lisa will have to share her room with her sister until the wallpaper is up. Lisa isn’t happy about sharing her room, especially when her sister tries to take over. So Gaspard and Lisa decide to finish the job, so Lisa can have her room back.

Episode 4, Gaspard’s Garden for Maman – Monday, August 1 at 8.15am on ABC 4 Kids Returning to the city after visiting his grandmother in the country, Gaspard and his family bring home a box of fresh vegetables from his grandmother’s garden. As his mother loves fresh tomatoes, he decides to grow tomatoes just for her. So with Lisa’s help he makes a ‘secret garden’ under his bed.

However when he waters the tomatoes he doesn’t realise he’s actually watering M. Huget’s ceiling as well.

8:30pm – Saturday, July 30 on ABC2

In this story set in the West during the Civil War, Joe is the good, Setenza is the bad, and Tuco is the ugly. Tuco is a wanted criminal, with a reward offered for his capture. Tuco and Joe play a dangerous game. Joe takes Tuco to a sheriff and collects the reward, then rescues him from hanging at the last minute by cutting the noose around his neck with a bullet. Then they escape and split the reward money.

Setenza, a sadistic criminal, is playing for bigger stakes: a cash box containing $200,000 which is hidden in a cemetery. These three – Joe, Tuco, and Setenza – join in an uneasy alliance to get the money. Mysterious, one-eyed Bill Carson, just before he dies, tells Tuco where the cemetery is, but he tells Joe where the cash box is hidden.

The three unlikely adventurers set out on an impossible Journey to find their fortune. Sometimes they masquerade as Yankees, sometimes as Confederates. Eventually they locate the treasure, and their violent hostility erupts.

Directed by Serigo Leone The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly stars Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallac and Lee Van Gleef.

The members of the Galta gang captured by the monkey catcher are released in the countryside far from their temple home and are completely lost in the forest.

The monsoon is late and the food shortage caused by the drought is affecting the monkey troop. They break into a car, stealing the shopping and wrecking the upholstery.

Back at the animal sanctuary Kavi the young monkey burnt and shocked by electricity in an escape misadventure, has taken a turn for the worse.

Fuelled with its usual irreverent humour, the second series of Misfits is even bigger, bolder and brasher than the first series, which won a Bafta for the best drama series in 2010.

In this new series the young quasi-superheroes are still spreading chaos wherever they go. The gang are still on community service and still trying to adapt to their new lives: Nathan (Robert Sheehan) has just found out he is immortal – but he’s in a coffin six feet under; Kelly’s (Lauren Socha) mourning Nathan’s death; Curtis (Nathan Stewart Jarrett) and Alisha (Antonia Thomas) still can’t touch each other due to Alisha’s magnetic, sexually charged super power; And Simon (Iwan Rheon) is hiding their probation worker’s body in a freezer…

Meanwhile, there is a new, mysterious, masked figure watching over them from afar…someone who looks remarkably like a real-life superhero, and who seems to know everything about them.

The mysterious man in the mask leads Curtis, Kelly, Alisha and Simon to Nathan’s grave – Nathan is still alive but buried six feet under.

Back at the community centre, Lucy (Evelyn Hoskins) turns up on day release from a psychiatric ward. Simon knows her as he used to be a patient at the same place, but when he meets her again and snubs her, some strange things start to happen.

He makes up a story about a new job, trying to impress her.

Buster (Tony Hale) asks George-Michael (Michael Cera) to buy him some marijuana to treat Lucille Austero’s vertigo; and with the help of some male strippers dressed as cops, Michael (Jason Bates) stages a phony bust to teach George-Michael a lesson about the dangers of drugs.

But after the well planned charade starts to unravel George-Michael works out that all is not as it seems. George Snr (Jeffrey Tambor) tells Michael that in future he should avoid trying to teach his son lessons, as he had done.

This time the series explores the truth behind some of the biggest blockbusters of all time: Jaws, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park and Gladiator.

In this episode, The True Story takes a look at the blockbuster movie Titanic.
