AMERICAN IDOL finalists Adam Lambert and Kris Allen will be in prestigious company on stage this week when the hottest lineup ever to appear on an AMERICAN IDOL finale will perform during the live two-hour special, this Thursday, May 21 at 10.00am AEST on FOX8.

Broadcast straight from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles LIVE and DIRECT off the satellite, the two-hour finale will feature the biggest names in music today with Keith Urban, the Black-Eyed Peas, Queen Latifah, Cyndi Lauper, Carlos Santana, Lionel Richie and last year’s AMERICAN IDOL winner David Cook, all confirmed to take the IDOL stage on Thursday.

Keith Urban said in a statement: “I think this year in particular has been one of the best for American Idol.”

“There are – and were – some truly gifted vocalists. The Rat Pack episode was the best, across-the-board night of singing that I’ve ever seen on television. I guess what I love most about the show is watching the musical growth; to see them use the critique given and come back the next week and blow you away. That’s the magic of Idol.”

The finale episode will follow hot on the heels of the final one-hour performance show tomorrow night where Adam and Kris will have one last singing showdown to determine who will be the winner of AMERICAN IDOL for Season Eight.

Join host Ryan Seacrest and judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi tomorrow night as Adam and Kris battle it out for the last time, before they face their fate in the finale on Thursday  – and one of them is crowned the AMERICAN IDOL for 2009.

Personal:
Tahnee finished year 11 last year, but has taken this year off to concentrate on modelling (she says she enjoys school more for social life rather than schooling).  She is currently a part-time waitress.  She would ultimately like to be an actor or TV presenter.

Family is very important to Tahnee.  Her Dad is easy going while her mum is open and trusting. She has two full sisters of whom she is the youngest (she says she is spoilt), one half brother, and two step brothers.

Tahnee describes herself as colourful and spontaneous.  She says she is fun and a practical joker, but people can often find her annoying. She doesn’t like rude, boring or smelly people.

She likes dancing hip hop, and crumping is her ‘party trick’.

Tahnee did a little bit of modelling last year – a few country catwalks shows and some photo shoots. And she was in Perth Women magazine twice last year.  Her dream is to be Victoria’s Secret model, and she loves the catwalk.  Tahnee’s favourite model is Adriana Lima.

Mikarla went to Illawarra Christian School where she completed year 10.   She currently works as a bartender.

Mikarla is the second oldest of nine children and the only girl in the family!  She admits she has picked up some terrible habits growing up with eight brothers.  She still lives at home with her mum, who she admires because she is always helping others.  Her boyfriend of two and a half years also lives with her family, and she says he is very supportive.

Mikarla says she can be judgemental.  She hates bitches, and believes if you have something to say about someone to just say it to them.

Mikarla has a terrible diet and eats a lot of junk food.  She LOVES McDonalds.  She doesn’t cook anything other than sweet things, and rarely exercises.  In her spare time likes to go to the beach, watch television (she loves football) and shop.

Mikarla has no modelling experience.  Her favourite model is Heidi Klum and Claudia Schiffer “I haven’t ever seen a bad photo of her”.

Madi completed Year 12 last year.  She is currently a surf coach and plans to attend university and study science.

Madi gets along very well with both her parents and shares a sense of humour and interest in surfing with her Dad.  Her grandmother is her hero who inspires her to try her hardest.  She also gets her ‘wild, crazy’ hair from her grandmother!

Madi says she is shy, and thinks Top Model will give her self confidence.  She describes herself as individual, loyal and having a great sense of humour.  She tends to resolve her problems by going to the beach.

Modelling/Fashion:
Madison did some modelling when she was a child but hasn’t really done anything since.  Her favourite model is Giselle Bundchen as she’s “freakishly stunning”.

She spends most of her time in boardies on the beach, and says she loves surf fashion.

Personal:
Lola is currently a retail sales assistant at a clothing store.  She has completed a certificate in make-up artistry but didn’t really enjoy it.  She would one day love to be a TV presenter, but would really like to give modelling a go first.

Lola says she can be shy but comes out of her shell easily, and doesn’t worry what people think about her.  Her friends would call her honest, blunt, generous, weird and funny.  Friends and family are very important to Lola.

Lola doesn’t play much sport but goes to the gym a lot to keep fit.  She watches what she eats as she is prone to put on weight and drinks lots of water.

Lola spends a lot of time surfing the internet and listening to music.  Something people wouldn’t know about her… she is an obsessive Hannah Montana fan!

Modelling/Fashion:
Lola doesn’t have a lot of experience, but has volunteered at fashion week for the last two years.  Her favourite model is Megan Gale, and people say she looks like Catherine McNeil, who she thinks is a goddess. 

Lola describes her style as relaxed but stylish, street wear that is a little alternative.  She loves high-waisted anything!  She doesn’t have a favourite designer, but likes whatever looks good.  She prefers to support unknown Aussie labels and mostly shops on Sydney’s Crown Street.

Likes:  Chicken, baseball and racketball, her eyes (she gets compliments on them), pop music “I’m quite the princess”

Leah finished high school last year and has been accepted into a Teaching Degree at Victoria University.  She has deferred for the year and is currently working part-time as a retail sales assistant.  She would ultimately like to be a primary school teacher.

Leah is single but says her ideal man is a football player.   She gets along with most people as she’s pretty easy going, and says her friends would describe her as “a bitch but a lot of fun”.  She doesn’t ever hold back, is positive and determined, and can be shy around unfamiliar people.  She gets embarrassed making a scene in public.

Leah hates cooking, never diets and says her favourite food is a double cheese burger.  She doesn’t exercise and can’t live without fake tan.

Modelling/Fashion:
Leah won a 2007 Cosmopolitan Model Search and received a contract to work in Hong Kong but she didn’t end up going!  She has also done quite a bit of hair modelling shoots.  Leah’s favourite model is Cindy Crawford and least favourite is Tyra Banks because she seems so fake on TV.

Leah describes her style as free, easy and hot.  She wears a lot of black and white and loves tight jeans.  Her favourite designer is Marc Jacobs.

Personal:
Laura T finished high school last year and would like to attend university but is still trying to decide what to study – she is leaning towards fashion design.  In the meantime, she is working as a retails sales assistant. She and her family went on Bert’s Family Feud a while ago and won $50,000!

Laura T says she’s funny, caring, bubbly and a nice person who never gives up.  She can’t stand people who are fake, can be judgemental on first meetings and often gets embarrassed by her ‘blonde’ moments.

Laura T dances for The Dance Collective, one of Perth’s premiere dance training centres, where she performs in contemporary, jazz and hip hop.  She also plays casual netball to keep fit.  She’s a very busy person and doesn’t have a lot of spare time.  When she does she likes to relax by watching TV or going swimming. 

Laura’s biggest weakness is junk food.  She LOVES McDonalds, and says her proudest achievement was giving up junk food for six weeks.

Modelling/Fashion:
Laura has appeared in Shimmer magazine (a local Ball Dress magazine) and fashion shows like Style Aid and Perth Fashion Festival.  She also did a bit of modelling in Milan.  Her favourite model is Miranda Kerr because she is stunning and Australian.

Laura loves the Boho look during the day, but likes to dress up when she goes out at night – black dress and heels. Her favourite designer is Chloe.

Laura M is currently a full-time student at Curtin University where she is studying a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Marketing and Public Relations.  She’s proud of scoring 98% in mid semester exams.  She also works part time as a bartender which she loves “I’ve met some really interesting people”.

Laura M has a Eurasian heritage – her mum is Malaysian and her role model, her dad was born in England.  She say’s she is a “daddy’s girl” and has never spent more than two weeks away from home.

Laura’s friends call her a personality chameleon as she adapts to the personalities around her, so she thinks she will do well in the house.  She hasn’t auditioned for Top Model before as she hates rejection.  She thinks she will bring a vivaciousness and overall sassiness to the competition

Laura loves Lebanese and Turkish food.  She doesn’t like the term ‘diet’ but says she eats healthily most of the time, but has a real weakness for sweets.  Exercise is very important to Laura as she can put on weight easily.  She tries to work out every day. 

Modelling/Fashion:
Laura modelled a few years ago, mainly catwalk.  She also appeared in Curve magazine three years ago.  Laura says she is happiest when she is on the runway, but her most embarrassing moment is falling over at a modelling competition five years ago.  Her favourite model is Adriana Lima or Jessica Stam. 

Laura describes her style as funky, casual, bohemian during the day and a bit more glamorous at night.  She loves oversized bags and sunnies with a cute top and shorts.  Her favourite designer is DSquared? “I love love love them!”

Likes: Turkish, Indian, Italian & Lebanese food, her full lips and mixed background, watching boxing
Hates: bossy people, spiders, Halloween things, her thighs which have cellulite and stretch marks.

Personal:
Having just turned 16 before entering the Top Model house, Georgie is the youngest in the competition.  She is currently in Year 11, and also works part-time as a “check-out chick” and as a retail sales assistant at a surf shop.  If modelling doesn’t work out she would like to be a makeup artist.

Georgie’s family is the most important thing to her – her dad is her best friend “we think alike”; she shares the same sense of humour as her mum and has an 11 year old sister she adores.

Georgie gets along with entertaining personalities that can make her laugh in a bad situation.  She has a good sense of humour, rarely gets angry but is a very jealous person.   She says her friends would describe her as fun, down to earth, excitable, loyal and funny.  She likes taking risks and doing things that other people wouldn’t.

Georgie likes to play netball, go for walks, listen to music, swim and hang out with her mates.  She likes cooking, but says she isn’t very good at it.

Modelling/Fashion:
Georgie has no modelling experience but says it is something she has always wanted to do.  Her favourite models are Jennifer Hawkins and Miranda Kerr.

Georgie describes her style as “casual and comfy”.  Her favourite high-end designer is Georgio Armani.
