Episode Six of TOUGH NUTS 2: AUSTRALIA’S HARDEST CRIMINALS premieres on Thursday, November 24 at 7.30pm AEDT and profiles murderer, drug dealer and kidnapper extortionist DINO DIBRA, also known as ‘The Sunshine Boy’.

Dino Dibra was born in 1975 and grew up in the tough working class suburb of Sunshine, Victoria, where he became lifelong friends with a group of boys, including Benji Veniamin, all who would go on to make their mark on Melbourne’s notorious underworld.

Starting out as a petty criminal, Dino eventually befriended druglord Carl Williams, becoming a high-ranking distributor for him. With the position came wealth and influence and Dibra deluded himself into believing he would one day control the Melbourne underworld.

Dibra was fearless to the point of recklessness. He refused to bow to Melbourne crime figure, ‘Mad Charlie’ Hegyalji and waited patiently in his front yard to shoot him dead one night as he returned home.

Dibra, the gangster wannabe, had become the real thing, and rapidly became known for his spontaneous, almost pointless, outbursts of violence.

Dino Dibra was finally murdered by his old schoolmate, Benji Veniamin, outside his home in Sunshine. He was just 25 years old.

Presented by bestselling crime author Tara Moss, this episode of TOUGH NUTS features compelling interviews with psychologists, police detectives and investigative journalists and offers a never-before-seen look at what made Dibra one of Australia’s most notorious – and tragic – underworld identities.

TOUGH NUTS 2 is produced by Bryan Cockerill at The Full Box and is exclusive to Crime & Investigation Network.

The 8 x 1 hour episodes profile the following criminals: Nikolai Radev, Stan Smith, Ray Denning, Tilly Devine, Jockey Smith, Stewart John Regan, Dino Dibra and George Freeman.

It’s time to hug it out as Hollywood’s most loved players return for one last time in the highly anticipated eighth and final season of ENTOURAGE, which kicks off on Tuesday, November 8 at 9.30pm AEDT, exclusive to Arena.

We’ve been through a lot with the crew from Queens over the years, as they filled their days chasing big dreams, beautiful women and the best of times as if the party was never going to end.

But is it finally time for Vince, Eric, Drama, and Turtle to grow up and make it on their own in the fast lane of high-stakes Hollywood?

When we last left them, Vince had gone off the deep end after the guys’ failed attempt to stage an intervention for his excessive boozing and not-so-recreational drug use. Now, Vince is sober again after a stint in rehab and is ready to take on his next big movie project.

Super-agent Ari Gold and Mrs Ari have recently separated – and furious that Mrs Ari is now dating celebrity chef, Bobby Flay, Ari hooks up with an old flame as revenge.

Eric and on-off girlfriend, Sloane, have called off their wedding and Eric is running his own management company.

Johnny Drama is finally working, with an animated TV series Johnny’s Bananas and Turtle has invested in the Avion tequila line and is starting a new business venture.

The final season also features series regulars Rex Lee as Lloyd, Ari’s former assistant, who is now a full agent; Perrey Reeves as the long-suffering Mrs. Ari; and Rhys Coiro as erratic film director Billy Walsh.

ENTOURAGE stars Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara. Celebrity guests this season include chef, Bobby Flay; uber-stylist, Rachel Zoe; baseball player, Alex Rodriguez; actor, Christian Slater and funnyman, David Spade.

Premiering in 2004, ENTOURAGE became an instant hit and has gone on to receive nominations for 25 Primetime Emmy Awards, 14 Golden Globe Awards and six Screen Actors Guild Awards.

This is the “Real Housewives” of Australian football – both codes – and it’s sure to get tongues wagging when it debuts on ARENA in March 2012.

RETURNING LOCAL PRODUCTIONS

FOXTEL has commissioned a second series of ROVE LA for FOX8 in 2012. This decision was cemented by the great reaction from the Hollywood community, the brilliant guest line-up, as well as strong ratings and sponsorship support.

Another huge hit for ARENA this year has been the return of PROJECT RUNWAY AUSTRALIA. FOXTEL brought the show back, bigger and better than ever with Megan Gale and Alex Perry, and the show will return for its fourth season in 2012.

The dating game made a spectacular return to our screens last summer with the debut of DATING IN THE DARK, hosted by Laura Dundovic. It’s back on FOX8 for a second cycle in 2012, with more dark rooms, more action, and more fun.

The Digger has won the Gold award at the Cannes Corporate Media & Television Awards in the History and Civilisation category.

Told through a sequence of pivotal battles spanning the globe, THE DIGGER follows the rise of these tough-as-nails soldiers and their well-earned reputation for wartime heroics and off-duty insubordination.

Using moving archival footage, personal letters and re-enactments, the program re-visits the world’s most infamous battle scenes – from the Boer War to the horror of The Western Front, El Alamein, then on to The Pacific, Vietnam and Korea – where their character and resilience were forged.

THE DIGGER was produced by Bearcage Productions and broadcast on FOXTEL’s History Channel. It was launched at MIPCOM 2011 and is being distributed by ABC Commercial.

Joining ROVE on the couch from the set of ROVE LA on Monday October 24, are JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, actor JAMES MARSDEN and actress ELIZA DUSHKU.

Justin Timberlake has become an accomplished artist who is widely-considered as one of pop culture’s most influential entertainers. In addition to his music as a Pop-R&B singer/songwriter, he has also embarked on a successful career in film and television as both an actor and producer and entrepreneur.

Currently starring in the film In Time, Timberlake reveals his obsession with Tim Tams, chats about his fear of spiders and magpies and having to stand up for himself at school during his time on The Mickey Mouse Club.

James Marsden, currently starring with Kate Bosworth in Straw Dogs, Marsden is probably best known for his role as Cyclops in three X-Men films, as well as for playing a prince in the Disney film, Enchanted and his other film work includes 27 Dresses, The Box and The Notebook.

James reveals that he kicked off his career as a 16-year-old news anchor dressing up in his grandfather’s suit and that in his spare time likes to watch football and drink beer with his mate Justin Timberlake.

In a classic awkward television moment, Rove embarrasses James as he digs out vision from the vault of him and his school mates appearing as a band on the television program Good Morning Oklahoma.

Eliza Dushku is a familiar face to fans of fantasy and science fiction TV series, thanks to her role as Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer as well as Tru Calling and Dollhouse.

Dushku discusses the time she serves as a culture ambassador for Albania, the country where her family is originally from and shows off her commitment- her tattoo of the national symbol, a double-headed eagle. Unlike Justin, Eliza talks about being elevated to coolness at school as a 12-year-old when she starred opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in True Lies.

As only Rove can do, he does some digging to discover one of Eliza’s lifelong dreams which he helps to fulfill during the show.

The one-hour series also provides viewers with Rove’s take on the LA way of life and serves up a weekly slice of Hollywood, taking the audience beyond the tourist traps to discover why the phrase “Only in LA” was coined.

This week Rove visits his neighbours at the CBS studios meeting up with The Price is Right host Drew Carey and his audience to discover what it takes to be picked as an audience member and what lengths they will go to get noticed. Rove ticks another item off his bucket list when he joins The Price Is Right team as one of their models.

Confirmed guests for episode seven, Monday October 31 are k.d. lang, actor Michael C. Hall (Dexter) and American actor and comedian Rainn Wilson.

Rove LA airs at 8.30pm on Fox 8, Mondays.
